Due to muscle menu or not needing to think about it. Split should either be near the bottom of the context menu or you should be able to toggle it in settings. The amount of times I have gone to click a link to open in a new window only to split the view is driving me crazy.

When uploading files with Firefox, I click the upload button, and the file browser window appears to upload files.

For as long as I can remember, it always defaulted to the last folder location that I uploaded a file, but just a few days ago, it stopped working, and always defaults to my home folder.

How can I make the upload window pop up, default to the last uploaded location? My OS is Linux Mint Cinnamon.

Mozilla currently allows a user to select an AI Chatbot to use in the updated sidebar. The choices are limited to Anthropic Claude, ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Le Chat Mistral and Microsoft Copilot. When will Mozilla add Grok to this list of choices?

Please return my Computer to using Firefox default as my browser as it was 2/01 /2026.Ive tried several times to do this w/o success . I was using windows 11 and have been trying to get rid of MS365 which I never used but have been charged for a solution , but have been blocked and refused cancellation after they asked me to change my email address and PW . Insanely confusing !

На на сайте поддержки Mozzila не нашел, ни интернет не подсказал. Я понимаю, что это автозапуск Firefox при запуске Windows. Но что конкретно делает данный параметр?

When trying to set Firefox to open a file on Windows 11, it is overwritten by Firefox Nightly. I have both branches installed.

This is how it goes when attempting to set Firefox as a default application in my machine:

1. "Apps > Default Apps"
2. .mp4 (for example)
3. click the button below that displays the current default application
4. Firefox Nightly appears in this menu
5. "Choose an app on your PC"
6. "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox" ... "firefox.exe" ... "Open"
7. Firefox Nightly remains in this menu

I cannot get Firefox to appear as an available app in this menu. The only workaround, although inconvenient, is to drag and drop files straight into Firefox.

WHY IS IT SO HARD TO JUST MAKE FOXFIRE MY BROWSER LIKE I HAVE HAD UNTIL SOMETHING WENT WRONG A FEW DAYS AGO AND I GOT UP AND COULD NOT GET IN TO MY MICROSOFT ACCOUNT. IT REFUSED TO ACCEPT MY PIN I HAVE USED FOR MANY MANY YEARS . I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. THANKS.

Hi. Now that the 'Open Link in Split View' has annoyingly replaced the spot previously held by 'Open Link in New Window' i keep clicking on it accidentally (muscle memory).

I don't want to have to retrain my muscle memory, but despite creating css file generated by Claude that should in theory remove the option, and putting it the Profile Folder, it will not go away.

How do i remove it?

I started using Claude in the side panel instead of a dedicated tab, but there is something noise about it: every time I click to open the side panel the chat starts from scratch. Getting a clean slate is nice, but it takes too much time loading. So I would like to not unload the content of the panel when I close it, just hide it, so when I click to open is already loaded. There is a way to do that?

Is there a button I push or a feature I enable to make sure that I'm opted-out of any future updates that include AI 'features'? Or should I switch to Vivaldi now and save time?

the "Open all in tabs" menu that appears at the bottom waiting for you to click on it by mistake. we need a way to remove that option while also disabling the middle button over the folder to open all bookmarks over the tabs. It also should be a default because been using firefox since version 1 (previously Netscape Navigator back in 1998) and I rarely had the need for something like that.

asked chatgpt and it suggested some fixes but apparently userChrome.css is actively being ignored. from the look of things, seems like I will have to stick to an specific version like I had to do with Thunderbird after version 102 where ugly UI changes were implemented.

When I swipe to the left, Firefox navigates Back & when I swipe to the right, Firefox navigates Forwards. It is VERY ANNOYING!!!! It's really easy to do this accidentally while scrolling around a large web page. When you go back, it deletes all data that was filled out on the web form causing DOUBLE the work. I've found out that you can create custom prompts for the AI sidebar with the configuration `browser.ml.chat.prompts.*`. Usually, this is done with the selection text. However, I'd like to pass the URL instead. I could use `%url%`, but that does not include parameters after `?` and hence does not work for Youtube.

Is there any variable that I can use to pass the full URL including parameters of the URL?

Dear Folks at Firefox, Mozilla

In last few days I really have a big problem with trying to browse with my favorite browser Firefox. It is that cursor always goes to address bar instead of search bar when I am trying to surf the web. I tried all the fixes that I found online with changing things in about:config still with no solution.

I am running on Windos 11 and using latest Firefox version.

For a while now firefox has been unable to enter fullscreen when pressing F11. Instead all it does is move the "Scroll forwards", "Open a new tab", and "List all tabs" button over slightly (The buttons on the top right, next to the minimize and close buttons).

I don't know what's going on with firefox.
