As of a few days ago whenever I start Firefox the window appears with the Bookmarks sidebar panel already opened. I click the "X" on the sidebar and it will close - until the next time I start Firefox. If I choose Menu->View->Sidebar->Bookmarks and uncheck it the panel will close - until the next time I start Firefox. No matter how the Bookmarks sidebar is closed, it will always reappear when Firefox is restarted. Even if I switch to some other sidebar, Bookmarks will replace it on startup.

I've searched about:config and found no setting which seems to control sidebar behavior on startup.

I assume this is the result of some recent update. Is there no longer a way to permanently disable the Bookmarks sidebar?

MacOS 12.7.5 Firefox 127.0 (64-bit)

Today I realized that I have installed two (2) versions of Mozilla Firefox on my Laptop PC which I rarely use.

Both editions are 64-bit type but one is version 109.0.1 (11/04/2023) in

C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox and the other is version 128.0.3 (28/07/2024) in C:\Program Files (x86)/Mozilla Firefox.

I suppose it is illegal to have two versions of the same App., so the question is how can I delete the old version (109.0.1) without affecting or damaging the new version (128.0.3)?

When you check the image, you can see two "HOME" entries. This is an issue I discovered after uninstalling and reinstalling the Firefox browser and using Sync.

HOME is my PC, and this image was screenshot on my laptop.

Additionally, the Sync for these HOME entries is not functioning properly. I tested this by opening several sites, and while Sync works well from my smartphone to my PC, it doesn't sync properly from my PC to my laptop.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I tried rebooting my PC, but it didn't work out.

On my computer Firefox ask for the master password every time at startup. On other computers in my family, Firefox only ask for the Master Password when accessing a site with a password. I tried : - to disable than reenable Master Password - start in SafeMode without success. How can I solve my issue ? Thanks in advance for your help

I thought I had solved this by adding the website to the "safe" list - I really cannot say how frustrating this is if I am being locked out of even safe sites. - This is a browser issue (I'm not that naive).

There is no real response from Moacilla(Firefox) here apart from throwing the Rulebbok at me and saying "Read!". I can only do so much Tune ups" and shut downs and ensure drives are functional. Please advise on the Browser Cache situation, rspecially as BBC iPlayer is added to the "Safe List" and yet still throws up the 400 Bad Gateway error message - an early reply would be useful.

Hello dear community! My firefox keeps crashing when trying to open a tab or close a tab. I can't replicate it since it happens on random tab-closing and tab-opening. I think it's just crashing when doing something like clicking anywhere and NOT when doing nothing while the system is idling. Thank you for your help! I have loved FF desktop browser since I started using it per my boss in 2003. But I am so tired of the fact that EVERY SINGLE TIME you put out an update it breaks my access to the bank. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I waste HOURS reading articles, calling the bank IT dept, chatting with people who are on 3 calls at once, only to hear them tell me to "just use chrome." I clear the cookies, clear the cache, reboot, follow all the prompts in the settings and THEN the damned bank server doesn't recognize the device so it forces yet ANOTHER password change. It happened again TODAY and it makes me so sad but I cannot do it anymore. I am STILL now (going on 4 hours) trying to access the billpay page @ Xantanderbank. (ahem, secure codename) I am forced now, by this craziness, to use the imbecilic duckduckgo which is A) and offensive name and b) you KNOW it nowhere near the product you have built but I CANNOT DO THIS ANYMORE. Thank you for the time it takes to read this diatribe. I appreciate it.
