LINUX. see subject, please. i started on this laptop w/ mint. 5 or 6 years ago. then downloaded peppermint 1 and has been working great, but the browser does not update automatically like is said. Then, my Linux guy up and passed away. I know no one in town that uses it. I'M ON LINUX. any help appreciated. have gotten some replies with folk trying to help, but it just wants to download/install whole program. my bank wants me to upgrade to at least 115. can't access accts. Chase are useless. They don't know what Linux is. Perhaps someone here can point me in right direction? Regards. God bless.

Dunno if this is by design, but a lot of installers don't play well when installed from standard user account with elevated privieleges. Firefox installer on Windows 10, when ran from GUI or admin PowerShell, accesses AppData fodler under standard user account that started the elevated process. Thus, it's not possible to install it if admin account doesn't have access to user folder, as on my system it doesn't for security reasons.

It's a minor inconvenience to need to explicitly log into admin account and do it there. But as this is a disease among installers I'd rather have them play well with normal security.

You may disagree here, and I understand if you do. Just pointing it out.

I have a user at my job that installed the latest Firefox update (13324.11.21) through our MDM. After installing this update she cannot launch Firefox. When attempting to launch she receives a request for a username and password to install a Helper Tool. She is an admin on her machine and enters her credentials. The message closes and nothing happens. When attempting to launch again the same thing happens. This is not happening with our other 100 Macs who have the same Firefox version and others who have the same OS.

Is anyone able to tell me why this is happening or how to fix? Any assistance is very much appreciated.

The below troubleshooting steps have been done:

Uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox

Updated the OS to 15.0.1

Disabled the Master Password on Firefox through a Mac Profile

Checked if there was a Firefox file under /Library/PrivlegedHelperTools

Granted Full Disk Access to Firefox under System Settings

For a few days now whenever a new tab opens, either by clicking a link in search results or by clicking a link in an email, the cursor jumps to the bottom of the page and I have to scroll to the top of the page. I'm just getting started with Windows 11 on a new computer. What happened to cause this?

Both the above have recently appeared on my old Dell Optiplex Desktop and are causing glitches and other problems (slowing down and sluggich performance). For instance, on my Google Search page, my contact list is being blocked by a panel connected with this new installation, and is losing me access to my Contacts. How can I solve this problem, please.

After downloading and installing, I get Error Msg: Platform version 131.0 is not compatible - etc.
