My old laptop computer completely died. I installed Firefox on my new computer. However, after signing back into Firefox, my stored passwords and tabs were not available. How do I find/recover saved login passwords and tabs? I am a long-time Firefox user and had a lot of stored information that I assumed would follow my account.

Per [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/control-personal-device-local-networ...] I was looking for Settings > Permissions > "Local network devices" but the option was not present.

Looking at about:config network.lna.blocking I found it set to "false" by default. Only after I changed this to "true" did the UI shows the "Local network devices" configuration option.

Why is this disabled by default? Isn't this a security risk? It seems like users should be notified by default and have the option to block these requests.

I am unable to log into my Microsoft account normally. After entering my username and password, when I should be prompted to enter the two-step verification code, the webpage only displays the message: "Please retry with a different device or other authentication method to sign in. For more details, please see this link."

To resolve this issue, I launched Firefox using the -P command to access the Profile Manager, deleted my existing profile, and created a new blank profile. After logging into the new profile, I first signed into my Mozilla Firefox account to reload all my bookmarks. Without waiting for the synchronization of bookmarks and extensions to complete, I immediately visited account.microsoft.com and attempted to log into my Microsoft account, but the issue persisted.

Strangely, I opened a new private window and was able to successfully log into my Microsoft account through it.

How can I or can I lock my desktop so that only tiles I select appear and do not change unless I change them? I have recommended stories turned off in settings and seemingly every site I visit and article I read shows up on my desktop to replace something I actually want on my desktop.

If a click a link on the current page, the new page does not get loaded and the progress bar keeps sliding till eternity. But if I choose the option 'Open link in new tab' things work fine. The problem is being faced both on Windows and Linux. I do not know if it is a simple settings issue. Help is requested. Thanks in advance

From time to time I can’t clear my Firefox history. I try from the menu, then within the settings, to no avail. I restarted Firebox and even my Mac, and the history remains. I used CleanMyMac to empty the cache and the history is still there.

As the title says, when i go to about:support, and click the open profile folder, i wanted to install a customization to allow me to edit the default tab background, but for some reason i do not have admin privileges in that folder, i can't access anything, i can't edit anything nor create a new folder, even rename it. It says that my own computer does not have admin privileges inside that folder.

Until some days ago I could use the add on "Video Downloadhelper" without problems on my old Macbook Air (2017) with OS10.15.7 but suddenly the add on was not available anymore. I purchased a valid license for this add on. In the Firefox adjustments it was mentioned as deactivated. Could you please let me know, how I can activate the Video Downloadhelper again?
