The last few days I am unable to load websites that I regularly use. I get a cannot find error message. I have no clue what is going on. I turned off the vpn but that had no effect. This is really hindering my getting things done. Anyone with insight? I cleared the cash and cookies and all that, rebooted the browser as well as the desktop. Thanks

Installing firefox on my new device: Not all of my bookmarks are uploading from firefox on my other device.

It uploads a really old version of the tool bar even tough it shows in the HTML folder I am importing from my other device that the updated links are in the tool bar category.

Why does Firefox think I am in Norway when I am in France? I use nordvpn for financial browsing but turn it off once I'm done. The VPN is not currently active, I have cleared cache and cookies and restarted Firefox and it still thinks I'm in Norway so search results are not accurate. Browser language is set to English and French. Thanks for any help in advance. UF

It seems that the bookmarks function and history files are possibly "in use by another app". I do not understand much of this. I think it happened after an update. I tried a restore point. I deleted the Icons file as it seemed that might be an issue and they would automatically update on restart. I called Dell support, they could not fix it, neither could my smart, younger friends. So after hours of frustration, I had to install chrome, which I hate. What I want is for someone to just fix it. Its 2:30am and I need to get some sleep, I will check this tomorrow afternoon and see if I can get anywhere. Good night all!

I have configured Firefox to use a proxy, and I stored the credentials in the password manager. However, every time I open Firefox, it asks me to enter the credentials again.

How can I store the proxy credentials persistently?

Answer: Thanks for flagging this. We’re aware that some parts of the newsletter may not display correctly in Firefox, while they do load in other browsers. Unfortunately, this is a browser-specific issue and not something we’re able to control on our end.

In FF on my PC I create a folder in the bookmarks toolbar for that day's research. I drag page URLs into there to bookmark sites/pages for follow up reading.

As extpected the shortcuts have the site's icons.

Open FF on my Macbook at home and since this verion, no favionns until I open the respective pages.

This is new. All other sync seems fine.

I would like to remove the first item from the Tab Context Menu, which is "Add Tab to New Group", and simply have "Reload Tab" as the first menu item.

I was using this code, which worked in FF 145, until the latest update (FF 147)...

However, now there is an extra separator line at the top of the menu (see attached images).

This code also removes the top menu item, but still leaves the separator line on top:

Is there a way to remove the first menu item without adding the separator line?

I am in the process of switching from Windows 10 to Linux Mint (Cinnamon 22.3) as my daily operating system. My current Windows version of Firefox is 147.0.2, for Linux it is 147.0.3. installed from the official repository - also known as the Software Manager in Linux Mint. I've configured Firefox exactly the same in both operating systems. Running under Windows when saving a Bookmark, Firefox displays the well known Globe Icon, but after reloading the page the Favicon appears immediately (provided it is available of course). Under Linux Mint this does not happen, even if one restarts Firefox. Only after a system reboot Favicons of revisited pages become visible. Is this a fundamental difference between the Windows and Linux version of Firefox or am I missing something? I've installed the Firefox extension for caching the favicon, but it made no difference, If I run it, still the Icon does not appear until system reboot. I couldn´t find an answer in the help database nor on the Internet in general.

This difference might seem insignificant for most people but for me it is. When shopping on the internet I bookmark a lot of pages of products to be able to make quick comparisons. The Favicon is of great help because it makes it easy to identify the different shops. Of course I could manually change the bookmark name to include the shop name, but Icons are a much better clue and leave more room in the bookmark name for other information.

ich habe ein Problem. Beim gestrigen Hochfahren meines Rechners und Start von Firefox war meine ganze Struktur weg.

Tabs und Gruppen waren futsch und somit wurden alle darin gespeicherten Seiten ohne Struktur angezeigt. :-(

Wie kann ich die Gruppen wieder öffnen?

Online habe ich hierzu nichts gefunden.

Thank you for the prompt reply and I'm sending it back to English I have a problem with the yahoo.mail account. While I log in normally when I'm on google on mozilla I can't log in and while it accepts the passwords. He gives me an answer: " Technical problem. Right now we can't connect you try some other time " I spoke with help YAHHO . I did everything prescribed but nothing. It took me to the solution of the subscription. Can you help? Thank you
