As the title states. At least half the time when you try right-click and use the "Copy" function, the option is greyed out. If you try to Ctrl+Shift+C, it opens dev tools! This happens on multiple systems that I have that are based on Debian/Ubuntu. So basically, copy functionality is broken for Firefox Linux users...

Hi, I have a link in my website that opens a file in another desktop program. The link looks like this: openwith://C:/path/to/file, but after update to the latest Firefox version (v122.0) the second colon from the link is for some reason removed, resulting in a path like this: openwith://C/path/to/file. This is a problem because the path it now tries to open doesn't exist. Is this a deliberate feature in the new Firefox version or is it a bug? If it is a bug will it be fixed? It still works fine in v121.0.

picture-in-picture for videos on the normal instagram feed and posts. It worked last week, it doesn't work now. The little black square doesn't show up on hover anymore, I can't right click at all on videos now.

I have changed Firefox's settings to both Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed and to Clear history when Firefox is closes. But after making these changes Firefox is still holding onto my browsing history.

Any method I open a new tab, it always takes up to 7s to load, while completely suspending my browser. This also happens in troubleshoot mode but not in incognito. Directly opening websites in a new tab doesn't trigger that bug. I don't recall when this started to happen, it might be after some new Windows update.

I have Firefox as my default browser instead of Microsoft Edge on my HP laptop. I've tried everything under the sun to make Google my default search engine over Microsoft Bing, and no matter what it won't stop rerouting me to Bing. I can go to www.google.com and type directly in the search bar and it STILL reroutes me to Bing, even when my settings list Google as my default search engine of the search bar. Can I block Bing as a website altogether? HP support only offered to connect me with a specialized team that costs money. Please help.

In the default search engines there are: "Bookmarks", "Tabs", "History" and "Actions". When I'm searching using "Actions", nothing happens, so I'm confused about what's its function?

Hi, Avast Antivirus keeps giving me this warning every few minutes. I have never visited the site in the URL and it seems to keep appearing regardless of anything I do. Is anyone else getting this? Does anyone know how to fix it?

when using a virtual machine with firefox, during navigating in a coding environment or pressing the "arrow up" key in a command window to re-run the last code, the "Passwörter verwalten" icon appears.

In english it is probably called "manage passwords". That thing is driving me crazy. How can I deactivate that it appears, when pressing the arrow key?

Often I open a new tab & it's bugged. (It displays fine but the "right click" menu doesn't work.)

The fix is right clicking the tab itself (at the very top) & then clicking "reload tab".

Is there a hotkey for this instead? I hoped ^{f5} would work (control f5) but it didn't seem to.

I am on arch linux running wayland, and whenever I visit some webpages (example reddit, github) some character are displayed incorrectly: spaces are incredibly large and numbers appear as . or , or other random punctuation or don't appear at all

Subject says it all, but it seems to occur with any site, anytime I try to open more than three or four tabs (ctrl-clicking links on a forum, for example) my Firefox instance grinds to a halt and starts consuming most of my CPU (Ryzen 5 3600).

I've tried turning off Firefox's various protections. I tried troubleshooting (formerly "safe") mode, and the problem isn't as bad but is still present as far as I can tell. The only extension I can think that would be making it worse is Tree Style Tab, but I don't know enough about interpreting Firefox profiles to verify.

The only reason I consider this odd is because doing the same thing in Chrome doesn't have this issue on this same device. If I open many tabs quickly, Chrome itself is still responsive. Those newly opened tabs may take a while to load and become interactive, but it doesn't affect the rest of the application. I pay my ISP for gigabit DSL, and as far as I can tell that is roughly what I get. In my case, Firefox doesn't behave this way.

I am not computer savvy as a warning. I have Firefox as my browser. I am having trouble because my email Yahoo and other situations are not working right because they say, " 'Java Script' is not enabled." I did not even know what Java Script was. How do I enable Java Script or what is a substitute that Firefox recommends that will work like Java Script? Thank you

Firefox has a magnifier in the url bar. It activates for no reason. The arrow pointer does not move but the magnifier keeps going up and down 110%- 145%- 38% all over the place. only hitting escape several times and then touching the magnifier resets it back to 100% {normal} is there a way of eliminating this feature alltogether? Any help would be appreciated.

TL;DR : Disqus comments used to work while using privacy Strict mode now it doesn't.

After years of it working out of the get-go while using Strict mode up till recently (about a year ago this was really low on my priority list) refused to work I though it was my Ad blocker was causing issues but after setting it in the filters to allow and even after turning it off still no dice.

Removed all add-ons tried again still Disqus comment section refused to load in the websites I regularly visit. So after giving up, I just look around in the browser setting to see if there is anything that may cause conflict with certain scripts from running.

Using up to date Firefox on a Mac, London UK. Recently returned from travel in Japan. The bank cards auto-fill stopped working & Auto-fill does not appear in Privacy Settings (it is not there – no need to request a check please:)?

Spent 2 hours on Mozilla support/community etc. No answers – including 'make a new profile'...(& why - won' that affect history etc)?

Would be very grateful for any help please?

I just wrote this blog post and someone suggested I contact you.

I have my default browser set to Firefox on Linux (Debian Bookworm). When I open an http:// or https:// URL, it opens in Firefox, but when I open a file:/// URL, it opens in Chromium. It seems that file:/// URL makes it resort to the MIME type.

Is there anything Firefox can do here or is this a Debian or freedesktop.org issue?

I am on Firefox v122.0 Google docs paste functionality doesn't work when using Cmd + v. This is happening only for Google docs. Same doc works perfectly fine on Chrome. I also tried running Firefox in troubleshoot mode with same results. Should I just give up on trying to make Firefox work with Google products.
