With color perception limited vision, I cannot distinguish default colors for visited/not-visited link colors. I tried changing colors in Settings via:

Colors / Override FF's default colors for text, website backgrounds, and links:

I changed the colors to what suits my needs BUT just changing those colors ALSO put focus(?) lines around various texts and randomly changes colors elsewhere in arbitrary fashion making my changes unacceptable. What am I doing wrong?

I am not stupid, but I do not understand the langauge used in describing "modifications." It would be useful for people in similar states of lack of knowledge to have at least maps/legends of web pages explaining the arcane language of webs.

I love this addon, but sometimes it doesn't respond. it hasn't been updated since 2017 and the support page is inaccessible.

Hello there. Some months back Firefox decided to block my Dragon NaturallySpeaking extension. This extension is needed so that I can properly control my browser using speech as I have severe repetitive strain injury through typing. The explanation given is that the extension violates some privacy rules that Firefox have put into place.

Whilst I fully appreciate how Firefox is looking out for us, I am really puzzled as to why I do not have the option to say that I am not concerned about this issue and want to continue using the extension. The Dragon NaturallySpeaking software costs several hundred pounds, and it has now been rendered much less effective, which prevents me from working properly in my browser.

I have of course contacted Dragon NaturallySpeaking who just said that they were looking into it, but nothing has been done (presumably I am running a version that they no longer actively support).

Could you please explain to me why it is not possible to allow the users to make an informed decision about whether or not to continue to use an extension? I find it very hard to believe that an extension which is well established as the leading speech recognition software is a serious threat to me?

On eBay, on the orders page, near the top of the list is a checkbox which when checked should cause the entire list of orders to all become checked, allowing a single operation to apply to the entire list of checked orders. Checking this box is not causing the list of orders to become checked. It works in Firefox private mode.

The problem is not being caused by any of the extensions - it persists after disabling every extension.

Windows 10, FF 121.0.1 (64-bit)

I've looked at various suggestions to fix the above-reference problem and have checked that "open previous tabs and windows" is checked and that "clear history when Firefox closes" is *not* checked. But nothing is working. This started happening only a week or so ago.

I'm trying to give permission to a website to use my microphone, but if I copy in the web address, the "Allow" button doesn't appear & so when I hit "save changes" nothing happens.

When I right click on an image and select "save as", after selecting where to save it and then selecting save, firefox just hangs and is completely unresponsive, leaving me having to terminate it through task manager. No error message ever come up, Firefox just freezes.

My laptop is often "borrowed"; access to my "recently bookmarked" items can (occasionally) be inappropriate. I am surprised that there is not a 'easy to access' method to toggle it OFF (!?) I found the below describing how to does this. HOWEVER, I do not find the key (showRecentlyBookmarked).

Click the button promising to be careful. (B) In the search box above the list, type or paste book and pause while the list is filtered (C) Double-click the browser.bookmarks.showRecentlyBookmarked preference to switch the value from true to false

I have a folder with multiple files in a Google drive. I want to share the folder with a person in :View only mode" where he cannot copy or download the files (while he is using the firefox browser). How can I do that ?

I cannot logon to icloud using Firefox (since 3 days) on my windows pc. It normally works fine

I can logon on using the mobile firefox browser and I can logon using Edge. However, I don't want to use Edge

I use a VPN (including browser extension) but I haven't had a problem before

Firefox changed the design on tabs and other features some time back. The whole user experience has been worse since the UX design was changed. For example, it's impossible to find out without going through tab after tab, which one is active and playing. I wish there was an option to reverse back to the old design.

My Wife's computer - still on Windows 10 - says it can't start Firefox as it is still running, hitting the "close Firefox now" button just returns us to the same screen. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Firefox it tried to do a "reinstall" it says her profile is no longer available, while inconvenient she still should be able to start it up, but it still gives me the same message. that it is still running and needs closed. Trying to "close it doesn't do anything. I have restarted several times and even did a shut down and restart. Nothing seems to work. I assume some "stub" of Firefox is out there in the system/cache making Firefox think it is is still active but I can't find it to shut it down. Where do I need to go to "end task" on this phantom Firefox?

Other information: 1. We have Norton Security software installed, if that matters. 2. The same seems to happening to Thunderbird, but maybe I need to go to another help forum for that? 3. I am entering this issue from my computer that seems to be just fine with Firefox, so can't send browser data as it is irrelevant to the issue (it's on a different computer and install instance.

I installed (as always) the new Windows 10, downloaded from the office. firefox website. I log in to my login, synchronization takes place (firefox says so) but MY data is NOT!!! no synchronization, no loading of passwords, addresses, extensions!!!

Since about one year I am unable to use Japanese input only in Firefox. When I try to switch with fcitx and control+space, nothing happens. However, fcitx-mocz works everywhere else on my computer (i.e. terminal, thunderbird, other browsers, etc.). Furthermore, I uninstalled fcitx and everything associated with it and reinstalled it according to this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1367181 (just with mocz for Japanese). Two-step authentication can't turn it on? When I try I go to another site to get the a-code but when I try to setup a account there I'm blocked cause they need a mobile number well I do not have one Bad AREA very week signal.

i am seeing the flatpack of firefox trying to roll back my install. but when i perform the download i get this.

Firefox crashed hard on me.

When I got it back it, all the add-on's were disabled, my bookmarks were missing, and my preferences destroyed.

So I need to delete Google as my default search engine and restore Yahoo as my preferred engine.

The button to add new search engine is missing.

Without using an add-on, how am I supposed to restore my search engine?
