Hi guys,

I am experiencing this issue for quite a long time, after certain Windows 10 update Facebook on Firefox becomes really unusable, it is really slow, specially on features when there is typing involved. That means Messenger, commenting posts on Facebook, creating new posts etc. But even other stuff is slow as it is scrolling down, going through photos etc.

This is happening on my both PCs, my CPUs are Ryzen 5 3600, and Intel I7-4770, and GPU GTX 1660S, GTX 1050Ti, so I don`t see that hardware should bottleneck this in any case. In the meantime, I did restart with Safe mode, refreshed Firefox, even reinstalled which does not help. I have tried with other browsers, Facebook works fine there. Currently I am using latest Firefox 84.0.2 64bit on both PCs, and Windows 10 is 20H2 version.

I can do this with the mouse, but I would like to use the keyboard to move the current tab to the end. The manual says : Ctrl + Shift + End - requires the currently selected tab to be "in focus" for instance, by hitting Alt + D to focus the address bar, and then Shift + Tab until you reach the browser tab bar ... This doesn't seem to work, or it doesn't work when you have 1.000 tabs open ... Trying to open the right-click menu using the keyboard doesn't work either (or cannot be done ?). If I could open the right-click menu of the tab, then I would be able to navigate to Move Tab -> Move to End, but that can't be done either ...  :-( Any help ? Would this be inspiration for a feature request ? Or defect fix ? (short-cut key doesn't work)

I work with a MacBookPro, system macOSCatalina 10.15.7 and the current Firefox browser 84.0.2.

I am currently having problems downloading documents.

Since yesterday I can no longer call up and download the online edition of a newspaper that I have subscribed to.

This is still possible without any problems using the Safari browser.

I updated the Firefox browser on January 7th, 2021 (to 84.0.2).

I haven't changed anything to the Firefox settings since January 7th, 2021.

What should I do?

A white bar completely covers the top of the browser. It is if the menu bar has disappeared. If I try and click where the menu bar should be I click right through the window to the other open applications below.

This has happened a few times and the only way to remedy it is to reboot the machine.

Any idea what is happening?

I am running firefox on windows 10 Version 84.0.2 (64-bit) (latest available)

And I have no add-ons installed.

Dear Mozilla support,

I have to switch on or off my company's VPN access several times a day, and each time I switch the VPN, the Firefox simply refuses to use a new connection, behaving as there is no internet connection at all, forcing me to reset the browser each time so it could "accommodate to a new network environment". My company gives employees the Cisco AnyConnect SW for establishing the VPN access to the company's infrastructure.

Are you able to "fix" this please, as I haven't experienced this behavior at other browsers as well (Opera, IE)?

Hi All

I bought the Firefox OS Flame reference phone in 2014 to see what it was it was like. It came in a box with T2Mobile on it but is not a locked phone.

7 years later, it's 2021, and I've been using an Apple iPhone for 6 years and I wondered if Firefox OS was still going as I couldn't find a reference to it on the Mozilla Support page and I'd like to try using the phone again if possible. I know it's specs are very basic compared to phones today but I don't mind. It only supports 3G but I am on Vodafone Australia and as far as I'm aware they still support 3G even if it might be slow.

Appreciate any thoughts on if I can still use the phone and if Firefox OS if still going and has a recent version that might be able to install on my phone.

Here are the specs from the back of the box it came in plus a few other photos.

Cheers Cel

I've posted the following in the MS Office Forum:

In the Word desktop app I used "-->", which Word autoconverts to a nice arrow. When viewing the document in the browser version of Word it gets mangled and shows up as a "à" symbol. Note: This happens on the same computer! My browser is Firefox (84.0.2). When using Edge or Chrome the arrows are displayed properly.

And got the following answer:

This appears to be a bug in Firefox. The two characters have the same Unicode value, 00E0, but the arrow is in the Wingdings font while the à is displayed in most non-symbol fonts. Although the font box on the ribbon in Word Online says the font of the character is Wingdings, Firefox fails to show it in that font.

Given that both Edge and Chrome seem to be able to display the document correctly, it seems to me that this is a Firefox bug?

Hello.

I noticed that when using the newest version of Firefox (84.0.2) I can go up to "logins and passwords" and all that's needed, even when not logged into the Firefox account in any way is to just click the "eye" icon and it shows the password.

How is this in any way considered secure? Anyone, at any time can just click this and see the passwords to all my web sites. I guess I will need to go back to using Edge where at least it asks me to use my PC login before it shows the passwords.

Firefox recently - now seeing ver. 84.0.02 in Jan 2021 - when trying to print a page in Firefox Browser is really poor and very difficult to use. What stupid programmer or Mozilla exec decided to take away the option to easily re-size (or "simplify pages") and then easily select pages which pages to print? Stupid decision - very stupid. Makes me decide to change from Firefox and go elsewhere for a browser!!! NOW I have to, when I print, go through an extra step of selecting ":Print using the system dialog..." to easily select double sided printing and select only desired pages. AND I STILL CANNOT RECONFIGURE THE ZOOM TO REDUCE AMOUNT OF PAPER USED!. Really, really a bad decision. Change back...or tell me how to get rid if this new Print Option Menu and go back or I just quit Firefox....quit Mozilla. (OK - I just went exploring and fond 'size adjustment' and 'print on two sides' under the options. Still pretty shitty and I am so pissed off by now, I am changing my primary/default browser and taking Firefox off my desktop, iPhone, iPad and laptop. So no reply is needed. Just pass this on to Mozilla and let them see what such unannounced changes does to their customer base. Stay safe...2021 is not looking any better than the last shitty year.
