I have several devices which run different systems. Whenever I sync in Firefox, Linux Firefox always syncs with other Linux firefox or Mac Firefox. Windows systems would have another set of bookmarks and user data. My windows devices cannot sync with firefox on other systems. Here's part of my error-sync-1575631489638.txt

I was browsing as normal when I navigated to a site I have been to many times and that I consider reputable (Etsy) and the browser immediately went to a screen that said something about how Firefox had done updates in the background and I needed to click a button to "Restart Firefox." Obviously this looked fishy to me and I didn't click; instead I killed Firefox via the command line and then restarted it. When I did, one of my windows didn't look right (I had two windows open, each with several tabs)-- the tab bar at the top just cut off halfway through one of the tabs instead of me being able to scroll over. In addition, right after I was playing a game on my computer and part of the game board froze. Now everything seems normal. Is it possible I managed to end up with some malware even though I didn't click on the link? Has anyone seen this particular scam before?
Thank you!

As I'm browsing a website, any website, I get redirected to a happy luck club sire congratulating me on being chosen for this or that. Some type of adware obviously. Can't find it, malwarebytes can't find it, Adware Cleaner can't find it. I don't see it under Firefox extensions, plugins or anything like that. So I've run out of options on how to get rid of it permanently.

I downloaded a malicious add-ons extension called "YouTube to MP3 Convert Button" by "Firefox user 6248547". All it did was open a video conversion website, which worked for the first video I tried (with alot of popups) but the second video I tried, it redirected me to a fake Firefox update page. As soon as I tried to cancel it, a login popup kept appearing and all my open tabs immediately went haywire trying to do some kind of redirect, and I it would not let me click on anything. I quickly ended the process to force close the browser, restarted Firefox and cleared my cache and uninstalled the extension. I am concerned about what kind of malware this may have installed on my machine. I reported this user over a month ago, but it is still available on the add-on page, and other people also commented about it having malware. Any suggestions?

I found out last night that Firefox leaks internal data to the internet. I always thought Firefox is about security, but somehow Firefox ships default with the WebRTC leak vulnerability. I have 69.0 installed. Visit this site. Do you see your INTERNAL IP ADDRESS listed. "https://www.whatismyip.com/" If so then Firefox is compromising your safety by means of WebRTC leak.
Here is the possible hacks that can use Firefox and WebRTC and the solutions how to fix it. "https://restoreprivacy.com/webrtc-leaks/"
I installed 69.0 on 15 September 2019 long after it was reportedly fixed according to (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/advisories/mfsa2019-25/). It STILL has the vulnerability on my 69.0 installed straight from mozilla.
Better to check if you have the vulnerability. Firefox really should take security much more serious if the advertise constantly that they are all about security.
Confirm by reply if your internal IP shows up.

Hi. I have a problem with http://metagmae.org/page/ and I have no idea how that came to me. No matter what I do, nothing can help me to avoid that thing. It auto-starts Firefox and tries to get more information. It is said that it is a virus. And I can't delete it from Firefox because I can't find it. Can you please help me to solve this? I uninstalled Firefox and deleted everything but when I installed it back, it came back! It is terrible and makes me crazy. Please help me with that. I love Firefox and it is now almost 15 years I am using it. I started with Firefox 6.0 or something.

For the second time in a few months, my browser pops up a new tab with a big red page claiming my computer has been infected and all kinds of badness is happening. And Windows itself becomes completely locked up. I needed to take it down for a hard boot. Upon recovering my system and looking at my browser history, I see that there is a huge pile of calls to some purported service: arrideral.info -- so the computer lock-up would seem to have been due to some (assumed) Javascript running in some site which is running the multiple calls and bogging down Windows to the point where it is unresponsive. Obvious malicious intent. How can I avoid this? (BTW I got this info from wa-com.com: "Arriederal.info is registered since 10 September 2019. Arriederal.info IP is 167.114.45.229. Arriederal.info is hosted in Canada (Montréal, Quebec). " )

This is happening on the 2 computers we use in the house. It happens occasionally but is consistent. Out of nowhere a tab will open a malware loaded webpage. The webpages do differ but they are always infected pages. The pages that the current tab would be open at before the malware page is loaded are reputable sites so it is not that we are on untrustworthy webpages to begin with.
I have run the following scans yet nothing is found: 1) AVG Free (that is our installed anti-malware program) 2) Anti-Rootkit Utility - TDSSKiller 3) HitmanPro 4) Malwarebytes AdwCleaner 5) Malwarebytes 6) Microsoft Safety Scanner 7) SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition 8) Zemana AntiMalware
Don't know what I can do to find the source of this problem and fix it.

I've posted this in the Firefox section as I did not see a section for queries relating to the Mozilla support website (support.mozilla.org) itself. Every time I visit a page on support.mozilla.org on my Windows machine, Bitdefender is declaring that it is blocking a web threat. The threat in question is surveygizmobeacon.s3.amazonaws.com/beaconconfigs/[large string of letters and numbers].json
I am only getting this alert when I visit a page on support.mozilla.org.
Can anyone advise on what is causing this?
