My sync account has locked me out. I really need to access the bookmarks for my job today. I would appreciate any assistance offered.

I clearly understood the sync application wrong - I hadn't had confidence about getting everything right, when I was forced to wipe out one of my laptops (crash), when it comes to saving everything from my profile (e.g. under win8 for some reason my profile folder was in 2 places at the same time which confused me).

But also, I wanted to be convenient (automation) and clearly understood sync functionality wrong (really? - I am honestly surprised that no application was developed that syncs my adding already existing information for the profile of the next device which you're using /or at least app like sync doesn't ask whether to do so, before wiping off all what was in the browses on this device already - really poorly thought).

So my question is: - I activated sync on one machine - I did the same on the other (older) hoping that the information from the newer machine will just pour into existing profile on the older and both (histories, bookmarks, passwords, etc. - passwords not so important, but history and bookmarks at least) will be merged. - now clearly I lost (at least for now) ALL what was in the browser on my older computer (bookmarks and history from an over of half a year of work)... ;-0

What do I do with that? How do I restore ALL this information? Is there ANY way?

It's REALLY important for me - as I am a researcher and this was a pool through which I would be going through in my everyday work.

Really bad surprise. I did all in agitation (of my computer suddenly crushing - so clerly I wasn;t thinking straight and carefuly enough - otherwise I would back up the old computer browser first, before applying sync, to check what it does without any harm; but I felt "so cool and happy" about what it can do potentially do - "merge all my content from all the computer browsers" what I assumed with pure certainty that this is what it's doing - even for a second I didn;t think that it would do anything else, and "why it would do anything else?"/which clearly I got wrong and now I am in BIG TROUBLE/.

i format my computer aafter formaying when i tried to sync my firefox account, i found that all my passwared and username lost please help me i dont have the folder " old fierfox data " thanks a lot

I've been using Firefox on my desktop, laptop and Android Mobile for months without issue. Recently i swapped to a new phone and for some reason the bookmarks on my desktop and laptop are getting jumbled/deleted (see attached pics)

To try solve this I exported my bookmarks to a .json file, then manually deleted all bookmarks on all my devices, ran a manual sync on all devices then completely uninstalled and deleted appdata/cache files.

I then re-installed using a fresh download from Mozilla, signed in and imported my bookmarks from the json file.

for a full day my bookmarks stayed intact, I then installed firefox on my phone and within an hour my desktop bookmarks became jumbled again.

Am I missing something here?

i reinstall my windows twice, afte first my installation with all data sync was good(i did it 08.02.16) and when reinstall it second time all data gone! (10.02) Please, restore all my data! i dont know what to do...

I have multiple computers, and I don't know which one is providing the "base" sync, or which one is being upgraded. It appears that new changes (an added extension, or bookmark) gets "erased" by something. There does not seem to be a way to say PC 'A' is the device to sync to or, to say PC 'B' adds a bookmark and I want it reflected on 'A' and 'C.'

It would help if I could access or see the sync so that I could figure what is forming the "base" of my synced data, or if I could edit that directly to push to all devices.

I AM LOCKED OUT OF MY ACCOUNT, I LOST ALL MY BOOKMARKS, PASSWORDS AND EVERYTHING. I TRY TO LOG IN AND IT SAYS I EXCEEDED MY LIMIT, THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS AND I AM GOING TO UNINSTALL FIREFOX AND NEVER USE IT AGAIN.

Let me say the whole story, so I bought a new computer, logged in to my firefox account and everything synced perfectly without any issue. The operating system was Windows 10, and I believe that it had the latest version of firefox. I had to take my laptop for an exchange because it broke on me. I was logged in to my firefox account when the laptop broke and then I was worried that all my passwords and bookmarks are in there. When I asked the store workers if they wipe the HDDs of the returned/exchanged electronics, they said yes. So, the (1 day) old laptop was returned and the exact same one was given to me for an exchange (by the way, this was my third "NEW/exchanged" laptop). I come home with the new laptop, open the firefox, login, and BOOM!!! ALL MY BOOKMARKS ARE GONE!! MY PASSWORDS ARE GONE!!! EVERYTHING BASICALLY IS GONE!!!!!

I NEED MY BOOKMARKS!! I am not too worried about the passwords, because I have changed many of my passwords for the important websites.

PLEASE HELPP!!!!!!!

I did a reset on my computer and when I reinstalled Firefox, all of my history, passwords, etc were gone (I was signed into sync before I did a reset. I thought the purpose of being signed into sync was so that when I log back in on the browser, all of my information will be restored. I have over three years of important information I need to get back.

Hello, I'm using Firefox Accounts functionality with account "bogdan.florea at tss - yonder. com". Starting with 01.01.2016 I lost all History, saved passwords for all visited sites etc? Is there anything I can do to import/restore all of them? For History and Bookmarks I found a way, but for saved passwords did not.

Restarted a PC (will call it 2) not used since last year and ran sync to update to settings used on PC 1. Both now have a password for Facebook not used since mid 2015. Suspect this will mean other passwords are outdated. Can I reset in some way?

My old laptop died but I had set up sync on firefox and my android. I've gotten a new laptop and the only thing syncing up to this firefox is the bookmarks. I have the boxes checked for everything to sync over in the settings and everything is up-to-date (my old laptop was too). I've tried unsyncing my android and computer and resyncing and even restarting my laptop but the add-ons (which are all from firefox) and the open tabs (which was like 7) will not sync onto my laptop. Everything shows up on my android, it just wont sync over.

Title says it. I'm getting duplicates of folders in bookmarks (top level, sub folders, sub sub folders, up to 10 duplicates now). I turned off synch, deleted all duplicates (took a few hours), then re-logged in and it synched and PUT ALL MY DUPLICATES BACK AGAIN.

I found one answer to one guy in the support site, but I don't understand all he did in the registry, etc etc.

Why can't it just work? Why can't I find a solution in their data base, others must have this problem too.

Anyway, anybody know how to solve this?

I stalled Firefox, logged in got a message Firefox began syching and nothing else happened. Even though I am logged in none of my book marks or other settings have syched. How do I get the sych process to start?

I'm using new Firefox sync. Everything was working fine on my mac but then i decided to format my HDD and install fresh system. After system installation I installed FF 43.0.4 , then i clicked Already have an account? Sign in and I logged in to my FF sync account . Unfortunately nothing happend. No bookmarks, passwords, tabs, add-ons showed. All the sync options seem to be checked correctly. I get no error message. I also tried to uninstall and install firefox but this also change nothing. Before I formatted my HDD drive I changed my FF sync password but I don't think this could affect sync. So right now i have no access to websites, bank accounts and other because all my bookmarks and pass stock somewhere on FF servers

Hello My problem is that after you reinstall your operating system and download the browser I want to access your account mozila but forgot your password, but I have it restored synchronization does not go (do not appear ons, bookmarks) Translated translate.google.ru OS Windows 7 x64

I use firefox on two computers (iMac desktop and HP laptop). I have sync enabled for both, but recently, the order of items in the Bookmarks toolbar is different from one device to the other. If I reorder the Toolbar items the way I want on one device, the comeout vastly different on the other. If I then go to the second and reorder, that messes up the order on the original machine. This is a new bug...not serious, but very annoying. I'm used to seeing bookmarks items in a certain position, and it's annoying to have to hunt for them elsewhere in Bookmarks.

Anyone else have this problem, or have an idea whats up?
