Dear Forum,

I have not accessed my Devices since a few updates, I use to be able to rename devices, but in 99.01 I no longer see this as an option? I also have found that sometimes when I add a device is adds the Machine name which I prefer and today I logged out all of my devices and found that it added it and named it a generic name "Firefox 99, Windows 10" Which if grave concern as this could be Any Device. Can someone please let me know how this feature in version 99.01 is suppose to name computers and also can you still rename devices and if so how would you change the name, or if there is a link to documentation on this feature as it has changed. TIA for your help.

Hey everyone.

I decided to make a fresh windows install, and when i installed firefox as allways i logged in.

Normally when i have logged in on a fresh installation of firefox it startes with the sync and getting all my old booksmarks, add-ons, passwords etc. but this time i didn't.

I thought that was weird but didn't pay mind to it, i thought i might have needed some time to sync. After 4 hours nothing has happended yet.

things i have tried:

  • Pressing Sync now under my profile
  • Pressing sync now under settings
  • Going to help - more techinical information - Databasen Places - Confirm integrety

The result was:

Hi

This problem still occurs, this time it took about 3 days before it reoccurred. I'm having a problem that appears to be linked to syncing. I can clear it with "Refresh Firefox...", but then it will come back in about 2-3 days. Deleting my profile didn't help. The original problem description can be found at the link: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1355876?utm_campaign=questions-solved&utm_source=notification&utm_medium=email#answer-1459234

Are there logs I can review or collect?

Thanks.

I am trying to create a new Firefox account with it's own email to be separate from this Firefox account I am posting from. However, every time I try to follow the "sign up" buttons I get redirected to the login page where I enter what I want as the new account info and receive a "Primary email account required for sign in" The email I'm trying to use for my new account is NOT registered with Firefox and I am using a freshly installed version of the browser on a new PC so no extensions are interfering.

Is there a way in Firefox to have quicker access to saved logins than through the menu structure? The menus are four layers deep, which is frustrating as it is difficult to remember the route when only using the feature occasionally. Some websites don't respect the Firefox Password Manager, so it sometimes becomes necessary to manually find the credentials.

Is there any way to create a bookmark to the saved login section?

Is there perhaps an add-on?

Thanks for any answers.

Hi, I have a problem with login in to my Firefox Sync Account, after clean installation of Windows 10. I have not recall to enable 2FA in Firefox Sync i have never used it to activate account on my PC or Android Phone. I'm using 2FA to my Google Account witch is the email for my Firefox Sync Account. But supposedlyi did.

I have tried to use keys generated by Google Authenticator (witch is only 2FA token I use, not counting Facebook App, witch I use only for FB) but no success. I tried to use this link https://accounts.firefox.com/signin and then use proper password. Then there is an information to check email for confirmation link. I get no email, noting in spam nothing nowhere. I did add the accounts@firefox.com email address to protect it from spam filters, but nothing in 4 days, waiting for a miracle.

In an act of desperation i did change the password for the account. And i received email to confirm this chance witch a did. The email was send from accounts@firefox.com e-mail, and it arrived in my inbox immediately.

Why i do not get the confirmation email?

I used to delete the Old Firefox Data folder but happily nothing happened until now, How should I get back my previous data. ? I had very important passwords saved in that history. I had a number of separate tabs in a few different windows (search subjects) and the machine I was working on would not boot any longer. To get this research back, I am using Sync - but none of the original windows was preserved. Instead there is just a long list of all of the tabs I had open across all the windows I had open. Why does Sync not preserve the separate windows? With well over a hundred tabs open, this makes recovering/accessing this information very tedious - as all the tabs have to be opened individually, and then sorted into separate windows again, to be bookmarked in their search subject categories/windows! Was this just an oversight, or is it technically not possible to preserve separate windows in Sync?

If it is technically not possible to preserver multiple windows of tabs in Sync, it would be much more workable if it were possible to mark these tabs in Sync to re-open them, rather than have to open them individually or all of the tabs at once from that other machine. Thanks!
