No matter what I try based on internet searches, and on this forum, I can't get my browser to save any history. After I close the closer at end of day, it erases everything. I even created a new profile.... no good. Uninstalled and re-installed.... no good. Places integrity checker says the database is sane. I checked my system care software and disabled any privacy sweeps months ago. My older (a few years back) firefox used to save everything....

After Firefox updated, I can no longer access www.apple.com. This is the error I get now:

Blocked by X-Frame-Options Policy

An error occurred during a connection to idmsa.apple.com.

Firefox prevented this page from loading in this context because the page has an X-Frame-Options policy that disallows it.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this issue as soon as possible. Thank You.

My current Mozilla Firefox version is 70.0.1

I use Firefox Profiles function and have many different profiles created. It is very important to me that these profiles do not get mixed between each other and that cookies and other profile-related data would remain unique for that profile.

Is there a chance that if I update the browser to the current version cookies and other elements will get mixed among the profiles and those profiles will not be unique anymore?

When I go to Help>About Firefox I get the following:

"Updates are disabled by your system administrator"

So I guess if I decide to update the browser I will need to figure out how to do that first. :)

Thank you for your answers!

I have configured FF to block all cookies under "Browser Privacy" the custom setting allows "Choose which trackers and scripts to block. and I selected "all cookies". Knowing that all cookies will be blocked I logged into office 365 and allowed manually cookies through "view page info" I then selected "set cookies" to allow expecting full access to office 365 mail, but this did not occur. What happened is I logged into office 365 and could see the icons and my login name but could not read the mail.

Office 365 gave the message "we couldn't sign you in please try again" yet I could see my log in name and the office 365 icons for mail, calendar etc.. just not the actual data. If I allow cookies in Browser privacy (which i take it allows cookies always) it woks.

I bring this up because it seems like something is missing in cookies that is not represented in FF.What is the difference between browser privacy cookies and allowing it through view page permissions? Can anyone offer an explanation?

Well, here we are at version 73.0 and the developers are now making life even more miserable after their premature decision to disallow Flash to run without having to be authorized EVERY DAY on EVERY SITE that still uses it (and no, developers, you are not forcing the website designers to dump Flash faster by your stubbornness).

Today, I got a new drop-down from the address bar about Firefox blocking social media sites from tracking me. I can't complain about that -- at least, not until some problem pops up for me as a result of it -- but it is obscuring the control to allow Flash to run, and by the time I got the new drop-down cleared the control did not allow Flash to run and I had to reload the page.

However well-intentioned the developers are, I still maintain that they should -- until Flash officially deprecates at the end of the year -- allow a decision made by the user to allow Flash at a specific website to be saved by Firefox and eliminate the daily hassle of re-authorizing. ESPECIALLY SINCE NOW THAT OTHER ENHANCEMENTS INTERFERE WITH THE FLASH ALLOWING DROP-DOWN.

This is my ongoing request, which will be made on every new release this year until the developers understand that they are making the experience of using Firefox less user-friendly. All because they just couldn't wait for the Flash deprecation to change how Firefox treats that plug-in.

Guys, you are NOT the overseers of the internet, and the internet does not make changes just to keep you happy.

Fix this in version 74 so I don't have to embarrass you again over this.

Hello,

I am running FF 79 with W10 OS.

I do a lot of browsing related to ancestry. After several hours of working thing get very sluggish. What I then do is bookmark the tabs I am working on and then shutdown and restart FF. I have the history set to Remember History it and then clear it when FF closes.

I want FF to remember my sign-in information so that is why I have FF Remember History.

Is there a way to set up FF to remember the sign-in information but not remember the other browsing history so it 'fills up' my machine and slows it down? I really hope that there is but it is not obvious to me.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I had to reinstall Firefox browser. After reinstalling, I have noticed that the Tracking Protection shield was always grey. For every site I go to, the Tracker Protection summary (dropdown after clicking the shield) always says "No trackers known to Firefox were detected on this page". This is for sites that previously I know Firefox was blocking trackers.

I'm wondering if perhaps during the reinstall I've lost the file of known trackers somehow? Already tried reinstalling and restarting.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I use a master password for my Firefox account. My desktop Firefox account only required me to enter my master password once and I have never, in the year or more since, had to enter it again. However on my laptop, I am constantly nagged to enter the master password each and ever time I open Firefox. And if I don't enter it and press cancel, it will eventually nag me a few seconds to a a few minutes later.

I've searched support and none of the suggestions have resolved the issue. I don't use AVG or Eset Internet Security. I followed the steps in the guide anyway but did not resolve the issue.

Thank you for your consideration.

I browsed a clothing website for less than 5 minutes by typing in the address and not using any links. Shortly after I receive an email asking if I was still interested in what I was looking at. Does Firefox share my email address with websites I'm visiting? I believe the email is coming from SafeOpt, not the website I visited. I do have "do not track" options selected in Firefox.

Firefox is far too extreme in blocking access to websites preventing me from browsing for "connection" and "security certificate" so-called "issues/errors". It almost regularly attempts to block me from accessing websites such as, for example, CNN (!!) for security certificate issues, and in many cases absolutely will not allow me to browse to some websites. This gets to the point where I have to switch to a different browser to visit websites I have been using for >>decades<<. How can I **completely** shut off ALL Firefox security monitoring to allow ME to decide what I want to view?

Just FYI, I have NO PROBLEM with websites tracking my visits, I actually prefer that. As well, I have NEVER seen any problems with security certificates endangering me at any of the websites I view, whether the website's certificate is current or not. I am quite capable of judging for myself whether a website poses any danger to my PC, and I have an AV utility that does an excellent job of protecting my PC, I do NOT need any help from Firefox. I never visit websites that would even remotely present a danger to my system, I am not into games, dark web idiocy, or any other such dangerous sites and I know what to look for to decide the reliability of any site I visit. I have NEVER, in over 25 years, been hacked or endangered, so I need no help from Firefox.

Thanks for any help,

Pete B

Firefox 68. A web site I visit daily always shows a popup asking me to accept cookies ("aceptar y continuar navegando"). It's annoying.

In options, I've selected "standard" for the cookie policy. I've emptied the cache, used the "forget this site" in the history for the web pages where the message pops up, and reloaded Firefox. It still prompts me.

Here's one of the pages it happens on: https://www.antena3.com/series/el-secreto-de-puente-viejo/avances/ Click "avances" or "momentos" and a large black box should pop up on the bottom of the screen, with the "aceptar y continuar navegando" in the lower right in a red rectangle.

Essentially, I want to tell the web site that I accept having cookies and have the web site remember my answer for the future.

I've used Firefox as my default browser for years. I'm now on a Win10 laptop I've been using for over a year. I have not knowingly made any recent changes to FF. I'm on FF version 88.0.1 (64 bit).

Suddenly, yesterday, I found that I was blocked from viewing many YT videos and comments. YT says I am in restricted mode. It is not due to a setting on my YT/Google account, because I'm not logged in.

Exact YT messages: "Video unavailable--This video is restricted. Please check the Google Workspace administrator and/or the network administrator restrictions." And "Restricted Mode has hidden comments for this video."

However, I have no problem viewing them in Chrome. So logically it's a FF problem.

Also, I discovered that other sites are affected. For example, if I run a "domain lookup" on the ICANN website, I get less detailed results than if I run the search on Chrome! https://lookup.icann.org/

Switching from Strict to Standard Tracking Protection didn't help. Then I did a FF refresh but that also didn't help.

Suggestions? Be aware I'm not a coder or any kind of super techhie.
