Firefox 9 bookmark icons have disappeared. this appears to have happened after updating to version 9 of Firefox for Mac. I only have a few add-ons, that should not conflict with the display of the icons. Menu bar bookmark icons still display, just not in the Bookmarks drop down menu.

Well after reading a particular post on this site I thought Firefox x64 was available. After installing 9.0 beta 1 I realized that this is not the truth, or maybe I'm doing something incorrectly? Both the beta 9.0 beta 1 and the current full 8.0 release run at x86 and shows the *32 in the task manager by the Firefox process.

The question says it all. EVERY single time I open Firefox, Firefox tells me that all my addons are either incompatible with this version or it asks me to reinstall them or both. It has happened to every version of Firefox I've tried. I will install Firefox, then install the addons with no problems. Then on the next reboot of my computer, open firefox, I get messages either asking me to reinstall the addons or that they are now incompatible.

Is that one window of my browser, with all of my precious tabs will not show up anywhere but the taskbar.[2] I know that the windows have loaded, yet they remain stuck.[3] This I theorize is the doing of a single page --a single tab-- among the 30+ of other tabs.[4] This same thing has happened before, but very rarely. .
I was wondering if there was anyway to resolve this while still getting my very important tabs back? Thanks. .
[1] I already once before wrote this question out entirely, yet it has disappeared after I registered my email. . so once again, rewriting.
[2] I can still bring up new windows, and new tabs within those windows, however, the other window, with all of the other pages are stuck.
[3] Because it prompts me with a download, or plays some video from nowhere upon start up.
[4] Might not be the case, who knows. . This has happened before, before ever switching to beta.

It started in Firefox 8 and is still doing the same with Firefox 9 beta If I use IE or K-meleon it works fine. I like firefox and would like to get some support. The yellow star works fine for storing new bookmarks, but if the bookmark already exists, I get only the small "edit bookmark" box, and not the full box that shows where it is and lets me edit it. My bookmarks are all organized into folders, and sometimes I can't remember where that bookmark is stored. Any ideas why I should have such a problem?
