When I wan't to use add-ons in Firefox for Mac, they just don't work. I can install them but they do not open. I have tried re-installing Firefox, installing the Firefox Beta (which supports Apple Silicon but crashed a lot) and restarting my computer, as well as re-installing the Add-Ons. Nothing works. How can I fix this?

I'm using 83.0b6 (64-bit) with both an address bar and search bar. Recently, if I type a g into the address bar the second suggestion is "search with google directly from the address bar. Typing an a does the same thing for amazon. Search suggestions are turned off. Top sites are unchecked in the address bar settings. All Firefox home content is unchecked in settings.

Is it possible to remove these "search with" suggestions from the address bar drop down? Thanks.

Hello. I need help with: `DOMException: The quota has been exceeded.` I'm trying to use IndexedDB. However, the code is requesting persistent storage: `await window.navigator.storage.persist();` (and this is returning true) This website is only storing about 8MB of data and I have a different website storing 200MB of data (userscript) The storage medium still has 140GB available. What quota did I exceed? If this is the wrong place, please direct me to the right place

Hello Everyone

I'm having troubles with playing some Youtube-Videos and Twitter Videos. I had to re-install my Windows 10 (64 Bit) due to some hardware-issues which are not related, and I'm having this issue since then. Here are the steps that I already did:

-Removing all Add-Ons -Starting in Safe mode - Deinstalling and reinstalling Firefox, then starting in safe Mode -Deinstalling Firefox with a tool that also deletes all Firefox-Related Registry Keys and App-Data Files and reinstalling it to a different path (other HD) -Disabling add-ons - Disabling Open264 Videocodec and widevine content decryption module (more just because of frustration^^, but I was then able to play some Youtube videos after this one) - mediasource.enabled is active (and all the other ones as well) -Installed addons (even though it didn't work with them disabled as well): NOscript( youtube videos are allowed, some of the are working), Ublock Origin, Video Download Helper, HTTPS Everyhwere, Tree Style Tab, Limit distracting sites - Updating to the newest Firefox-Version (which came out today)

Btw: on https://www.youtube.com/html5/ it tells me that everything works fine and I have of course the newest Firefox-Version installed.

Do you guys may have any other ideas?

I followed the Firefox DDG install instructions at duckduckgo.com (which succeeded and now that it's succeeded can't be duplicated), and here: https://www.linuxmint.com/searchengines/anse.php?sen=DuckDuckGo (which doesn't work), but here: 'Preferences' > 'Search' > 'Default Search Engine' DuckDuckGo doesn't appear in the drop-down list. Help!

I have been locked out of my firefox account: I can log in, but I can't sync my saved passwords, bookmarks, search history and so on. I now have access to my email account again: xxx@sol.dk - but how do I unlocke it, so that I can sync my stuff to my new, re-installed firefox browser??

When I press the link 'let us know' (see photo), I'm redirected to this page: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/ And I'm stuck, I can't seem to figure out how to solve this..

I use firefox 83.0 on Ubuntu 20.04. Browser does not play videos on Twitter, Reddit or Netflix. Youtube plays some videos but some videos show error "your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available". I cannot find any viable solution. what should I do?

I installed chrome and it plays all the videos. So there must not be any problem in OS.

Having an issue with youtube as of late on firefox. The ability to see "history" list, "watch later" list, or utilizing the save function do not work because I am constantly having to login. For some reason the ability to see lists or to utilize any functions on the youtube website do not work properly because I am unable to remain logged in. Is anyone else having difficulty with youtube?

When I try to log into my AMEX account with FF, nothing happens. The screen refreshes itself, but no log in, and no error or other kind of message. I have entered my User Name and Password manually and using Auto fill, no success.

Logging into my AMEX account on Edge and Chrome, works fine.

Suggestions?

I cleared my history yesterday, and now when I try to watch video on CBS.com, I get this message: “This video is unavailable because we were unable to load a message from our sponsors. If you are using ad-blocking software, please disable it and reload the page. Error Code: 111”. I have no ad-blocking software that I know of. Can anyone give me a clue on what to do?

Even though I'm in the UK I was previously able to use the form auto fill function by changing the extensions.formautofill.available preference from "detect" to "on" however I updated to Firefox 83.0 and it reverted to "detect" and I am now unable to save any changes to it becasue it has always reverted to "detect" when I restart Firefox.

Form auto fill is such a simple and useful function that really needs to be available, Chrome has had it working for years.

I am getting a certification issue when trying to visit 2 specific sites which are some of the most visited sites in the web: https://www.google.com and https://www.youtube.com

The error it shows when trying to visit these 2 pages, is SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER.

I have tried to troubleshoot it and follow the solutions recommended at: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/error-codes-secure-websites#w_the-error-occurs-on-multiple-secure-sites

however none of the solutions described in this guide worked to solve my problem.

In that guide, one of the suggested solutions is to scan my system for any malware. I used the following: Windows Defender Maleware Bytes AntiMalware Karpersky TDSSkiller however the results are all clean.

In the guide, it suggested that I check the clock as well. The system clock however is synchronized.

Last, I have resetted Firefox Profile but this didnt fix the issue either.

I shall note that the issue appeared yesterday and so far nothing helped fixing it. Not even the system restarts.

The issue about visiting these two sites, is limited only to Firefox.

I can access https://www.google.com and https://www.youtube.com without problems using Google Chrome and the Opera Browser.

Also, Google Mail and Google Translate work fine on Firefox. These two sites can be accessed with Firefox without causing any SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER errors.

I really admire the Firefox browser for its many innovative and adaptive functions and applications that one can customize to their needs without sacrificing security and privacy. The one that I find extremely helpful the most is Dark Reader. As an individual who faces neurophysiological challenges from a traumatic brain injury from many years ago, Dark Reader has enabled me to enjoy working and reading on the internet without having to limit myself or wear super-dark lenses due to sensitivity. The app has worked for most other sites except this support site on the Firefox browser. Because I have to use Chrome for my job, I have tested your support page there with the same app and it seems to work there. Is there something that I am missing?
