Upgraded to Firefox 4. Norton Identity Safe is disabled. When will this be updated/verified signed. This is becoming immensely frustrating as the problem does not occur when using other browsers.

When I accessed my Contacts on Outlook.com (people/live.com) my contacts names are intact, but all the phone, mobile and work numbers, company name, notes and other information are missing from all of my contacts! The only information showing on individual contacts are their name at the top, the email and snail mail addy. I have over 500 contacts and most have other information besides just their names, email and postal address. When I select a contact that has multiple fields of information, such as phone, work, company, notes, ect. the field names show up but there is no data in those fields. Contacts where I've only input an email addy, no other field names show up.

When downloading my contact information from Outlook.com into excel file, all information appears in the excel file. When accessing my contacts on Outlook.com through IE and Chrome all the information shows up. My contact information syncs to my android phone and all information is intact. So it seems to be a communication problem with Firefox.

I have tried signing out of my Outlook.com account in all browsers, dumping all history and cache, trying different proxy settings under Firefox options (advance/ settings) with no resolution to the problem. This problem started Wed. or Thursday (8/14/15) and I am using Windows 8.1

I upgraded to Windows 10 Home on 3rd August. Recently Firefox has become almost unusable, taking excessive time to load pages.

For instance a page like ‘Facebook’ is taking 40/45 seconds to fully load, whilst ‘Microsoft’s EDGE’ takes less than 3/4 seconds! ‘Chrome’ also loads considerably faster (around 6 seconds).

I am using Firefox 40.0.2 and have tried a “RESET” and disabling ADD-ONS to no effect!

This problem has become much worse in the last 4/5 days.

For some reason, I don't know why this happens only with FireFox or WaterFox. On IE/MS Edge or Chrome this doesn't happen. What could be causing this and please help me fix this? Thanks

I'm a member of Shopstyle, and have never had a problem posting to pinterest. Now I can't seem to connect to facebook or twitter either. Instead of going to the sites, I receive the "about blank" box. It won't connect!

Upon exit from Firefox (IE, click "X" in the window-pane) I get the Mozilla crash reporter: We're Sorry. Firefox had a problem and crashed. We'll try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts. I then fill out the info to contact me about this problem. I also get this message (sometimes) when I request a page be printed out. This second problem is VERY annoying because I have to bring firefox back up and get to the page to print all over again. So I uninstalled firefox and downloaded a new copy and installed it. I get the same results. This is SO frustrating. How do I fix this? I'm running a PC with an i5-4430 processor, 8GB of memory, and a 1TB hard drive, and Windows 10 (upgraded from 8.1 - firefox was working fine on 8.1)

So far no one has contacted me and I've been doing this for almost 2 weeks now. BTW: I used the same email address.

Last few days I've been pestered with "Unable to Update" popups. It says a recommended security and stability is available but I don't have system permissions required to install it. That's fine I'll install it manually. When I go to Firefox download page it says I already have the latest version. My Firefox version is 40.0.2 in the About page.

I already looked at these but they don't resolve my problem. My user agent string has not been modified.

This problem existed with Windows 7 and now with Windows 10. I have updated to the latest Flash Player and it still takes 30 to 60 seconds to load. I have refreshed Firefox as suggested in the help menu, that did not work. I installed flash control to stop flash player from loading automatically and freezing the page I'm on. This saves time, but when I use the player it is still aggravatingly slow. The problem is not limited to any single site, its seems to exist at any site that contains a flash player.

The error message reads: flash player not available, it may be busy. do you want to continue?

Just updated to 40.0.2 in our office and all machines cannot select from drop down boxes. Clicking the box activates the drop down, but the selection will not select

My Firefox constantly crashes and/or freezes multiple times a day. I rarely can have more than a few tabs or windows of Firefox open and it crashes. The reason I know it is crashing is that the window or tab will become distorted, and if I click on the icon in the taskbar to minimize and then maximize the window, the screen will turn white, and then all of my tabs and windows within Firefox will be like that. At that point, it's only a matter of time before it crashes. Many times, in order to get it to crash just so I can not lose all of the tabs I've generated and reopen them on restart, I have to open up multiple instances of Firefox windows until it finally does crash. I have seen as few as two extra windows or as many as 35-40, until it crashes. It's very annoying and it makes it hard to any work much of the time, and I do use Firefox at work. I've never had problems with Firefox at home, or anywhere else really, until now. Please help me figure out what's going wrong and stop the crashes. Thank you.

I cannot access mozilla addons on firefox or any firefox based browser. Right now I'm on icedragon which is a firefox based browser and it also doesn't work. I reinstalled and uninstalled firefox about 10 times. Removed all registry entries etc and still cannout load the address addons.mozilla.com. The other browsers I use are explorer and chrome and addons.mozilla.com loads. When I try downloading an addon through the addons tab in settings the download of the addon fails. I hate using chrome but have no choice, please help.

When typing in comments (primarily in facebook), if I select a misspelled word and then click on the correct spelling in the popup, it inserts the word in a different spot, often in the middle of another word, creating another error.

Windows 10, Firefox 40.0.2

I saved my favorites previously in Firefox. All I had to do before was click on the star next to the adress bar and the website would be saved. Then I would have to go and organize what folder I wanted the favorite site to be placed in. However, for the past couple weeks, this procedure is not working. When I left-click the star it still turns blue and shows it merging into the bookmarks, but the bookmark is nowhere to be found. I have looked in Recent Bookmarks, Unsorted Bookmarks, and even each of my individual bookmark folders to see if somehow they got placed in those. Unfortunately, the bookmarks are nowhere to be found. Where are these bookmarks going and why can't I find them as easily as before? I thought maybe there was a limit on the number of bookmarks so I deleted many of my current bookmarks to make room for new ones. Unfortunately this was not the issue either. Please HELP!!

Hi, after (auto-)upgrading to Firefox 40 (on Windows 7, 64-bit), I notice that various fonts look different...in fact they look much worse. For example, button text using the Open Sans font looked great in all versions prior to FF 40, yet they now look thin and wispy starting with FF 40. What did you change and why? Is this a known bug? Can you please go back to the previous font rendering? (See uploaded before/after screen shot.)

NOTE: Unfortunately, my 6KB png file is not uploading properly (and I tried uploading it twice)!

I have tried to follow all the support pages presented on this topic, but to no avail. I have uninstalled Firefox and downloaded a fresh copy, but that did not help either. Maybe there must be some file left behind which is affecting the new copy, but I can not find it.

I have never had this problem before. It is effecting sites like Google, etc.

So basically all https sites are untrusted connections

I need a fix or I will be forced to stop using my favourite browser.

My hard drive got fried during a power outage and the repair shop was able to clone it. Firefox seemed to work fine once I got it back but the "bookmark this page" button on my toolbar no longer works. I have to manually add them. I've tried various solutions: deleted places.sqlite, only worked temporarily refreshed Firefox, only worked temporarily uninstalled/reinstalled Firefox, did nothing

I frequently bookmark things and while I can do them manually, I really like the ease of the button. Would really love some help, please!
