When I open firefox it opens on the "success" page it should open on my selected page Yahoo.com

this happened after I ran the "refresh firefox" option

I don't know what happened because the browser was working fine earlier this morning and I didn't do anything to compromise it. I didn't go to settings and change anything. I suspect someone may have 'hacked in,' if that is still even a 'thing.' I think this because when I try to shut off my internet temporarily someone turns it back on and I usually have to 'fight' with whoever that is to get my internet to go off. I tried to ask google a question I wanted the answer to. That question was, how long does the flu last (because I have it or covid.) I also asked how long does covid last. What happened was that spinning thing where it was continually searching but never going to the site. Can you help, please? Thanks in advance if you can.

Hello, the description is the same as in the title: Firefox is slowing down significantly while I have "more" demanding games running I'm talking about a game like assassin's creed mirage mostly on ultra for example.

It all started with the purchase of a new computer, on the previous one I did not encounter such a problem. It manifests itself in the way that the video is slightly desynchronized with the sound + I can see a significant difference (delay) when scrolling the pages.

My current rig: Intel Core i7-14700KF Nvidia RTX 4080 32GB of ram running at 6000mhz (G Skill Intl F5-7200J3445G162x16GB ) 2x Kingston SKC3000D2048G 2TB

I understand that the GPU focuses on the game but can't it be improved somehow? The rest of the applications on the computer work normally In my opinion, the computer does not seem so weak that it cannot handle Firefox and the game simultaneously.

I've been unable to play amazon prime videos on firefox for some time now. It comes up with error message 'video unavailable'. I've followed all the advice on amazon website and google searches but nothing works. what do i do ? (this is on asus zenbook laptop) I've tried checking for updates on firefox and add ons, restarting Firefox, restarting laptop, clearing cache , checking DRM settings and deactivating proxy servers.

I use Firefox Developer Edition as my default testing browser. I have it set up to clear the cookies and site data when Firefox is closed. For my normal browsing I use regular Firefox (currently version 120.0). I was looking through the settings on 121.0 beta Firefox Beta November 21, 2023 and saw it has the very useful Cookie Banner Blocker: When a site asks if they can use cookies in private browsing mode, Firefox Developer Edition automatically refuses for you. Only on supported sites.

According to the https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cookie-banner-reduction?as=u&utm_source=inproduct this was introduced in Firefox version 120. However I do not see it in my regular Firefox 120.0. Both browsers say that "Your browser is being managed by your organization." I can change the proxy settings in regular Firefox 120, but not in Firefox Developer beta 121. Although both have the same sentinelone 2023.1.4.650 extension set.

Yo, Linux sysadmin here and been using Firefox forever.  Surprisingly I have this ancient 12 year old System76 laptop that I use for nearly everything (got a newer Lenovo that I been meaning to switch to but no time).

Using Debian 12/13 with Gnome 43.6/X11.  Can't quite figure out this issue though.  Besides being a sysadmin, can have other side jobs/projects going on as well, so can have 5-10 windows open in different workspaces, sometimes with hundreds of tabs all together (big fan of the Auto Tab Discard add-on and about:memory Minimize Memory Usage to keep performance up and resource usage low).

Been noticing this issue for the last few versions where suddenly, after random amount of Firefox uptime (can be after days of perfect performance) my keyboard input aka typing gets extremely laggy, like 30 seconds behind for all keystrokes, except: Ctrl-F instantly brings up the Find in Page bar, and Ctrl-C instantly copies to clipboard.  Ctrl-V, however, 30 seconds lag, Ctrl-A also....  Mouse is fine though and can right-click and paste instantly or use other menu options.  Happens anywhere in Firefox too: in address bar, in the find text box, in the preferences, in my saved passwords, haven't found a place with no lag.

Have searched around for some hours now and only found suggestions to disable accessibility service, but accessibility service has already been disabled for a while now.  Everything else in my Gnome desktop session is running fine.  Restarting Firefox temporarily solves the issue but is highly annoying and interruptive with as much as I have going on sometimes.  Due to timing randomness, starting Firefox without certain add-ons is impossible as I can't spend days at a time without any of them.  Just have to open a text editor and type what I need to in there, then paste with mouse, until I can find a good stopping place to restart Firefox.

Have included most of the info from about:support in the Troubleshooting Information.  Spent quite a bit of time looking at all my modified preferences, nothing popped out but if there's something you think I could include to help, let me know. Thanks

I opened my bookmarks today to find out that all my bookmarks are showing the same web address (Chevrolet.com). And when I went to Recovery, I only found the backup that Firefox did today with the single web address for all my bookmarks. Firefox was updated to version 120 on 11/21/2023.

The problem is:

1. in Firefox browser with a saved to hard drive file the HTML file is default to Firefox and on double clicking goes into the mask (incomplete missing graphics) 2. click on desired filed nothing happens 3. reset to MS edge as the default browser and functionality is there...

Is there a setting in Firefox that I am not seeing?

I have 3 user accounts,Admin,Guest and Visitor.The Admin User account has updated successfully from version 113.0 to Version 120.0,the latest version.When I tried to update the Guest Account and the Visitor Account from version 113 to version 120 I got a notification "Firefox cannot update automatically,download the latest version"but I already have the latest version downloaded in the Admin account.When I checked in Programs there is one Firefox icon version 120.0 and two other icons 113.0.

I have attempted to follow published instructions on how to manage extensions but the steps described are completely wrong. When I click the extensions icon, it opens the add-ons tab (does not present a list of extensions). There is no "gear" next to any of my extensions; just the on/off button and the .... button.

How can I force an extension to show on the toolbar?

Firefox is up to date (version 120.0).

I have this one page which has "meta refresh" set to 2 minutes, and the page displays my own data from some sensors so it has to be that way.

Anyway, the tab is making the clicking sound whenever it reloads the page. Muting the tab doesn't help.

Is there a way to disable the "click" when the tab reloads in the background?

Please let me know what is wrong here I have recorded the issue as you can see that the buttons of pop up for screen record are missing text also location pop up is missing text same with download file names.

I don't know what is the issue and why the texts are not showing but it's been a big hassle.

Please help me solve it. I barely managed to record thing since even it doesn't show which screen I want to record.

Thanks guys for screwing up my day with your latest update. I used to be able to download a .pdf and opening it in my ,pdf reader. I NEED to do this for tax reconciliation purposes. Now your crappy program has decided to open .pdfs in itself and I cant get a downloaded copy any more. What the hell was the programmer thinking? Yes I have gone to Applications and checked that it is set to my .pdf reader. Please fix this before I get fined by the tax office.

Why is when I leave multiple windows open with multiple open in the windows, the next I go to look for the window it's closed. Sometimes it happens when Windows updates, sometimes it doesn't.

Why I'm asking this question here is ridiculous! I never get an answer. Anybody else had a issue with this? Is there a Browser that doesn't do this, I'm fed with FireFox!!

Somehow, for some pdf files, the font looks very weird as in the following image. When I open the same website with other browsers like Brave it looks normal. It also becomes normal when I download it and open it with pdf reader. So this is basically a font issue. Any solution?
