Firefox crashes
Crashes out when opening any Vine. whether its embedded or on a fresh page. I don't have any malware, i scanned last week with MBAM and the crash was happening then. It does it in FF safe mode too. No bitguard or any pup. plugins up to date. FF up to date, Windows 8.1 fully up to date. GPU drivers up to date. No security software whatsoever. I work in IT so I'm just very careful what I click on.

ok, yes it seems to be a known issue for this series of sound cards when a certain kind of audio format is played-back through html5 audio. mozilla's developers are working on a fix for it, which should currently already be present in firefox nightly - for details you can also refer to bug #970147.

hello dogigniter, what kind of sound card does your pc have built-in?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

You can try to set the Boolean pref media.windows-media-foundation.enabled to false on the about:config page to disable the built-in HTML5 media player.
Philipp: Creative XFi Extreme 5.1 Gaming Edition I think.. I do have an onboard 5.1 too but never used it - would guess its a Realtek of some description..
