I am being asked to upgrade my video player when I use Firefox, I'm not sure if this is legitimate. It has the Firefox logo, but that doesn't mean it's legit.

Do not use any link provided by that website!

It has been blacklisted and uses website hijack methods to catch viewers unaware.

That URL and others like it, has hijacked my blogger website. People who tried to access my blogger using Firefox or Waterfox got hit by their redirect URL.

close the window that redirect opens and you can return to the website unless you clear your cache and it hits again.

That download isn't from Mozilla.

See the Plugin Check page to see what plugins Mozilla think need to be updated. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/

Whenever you get a message / popup that software / files need to be updated,

DO NOT USE ANY OF THE PROVIDED LINKS.

While this may be a legitimate message, it could also be Malware or a Virus. Any time you want or need to check for upgrades, go to the web site of the True Owner of the program in question. For example, to check out Firefox, go to Mozilla.org or Firefox In Any Language.
