Free Download Manager needs to be installed
A window that is titled Free Download Manager appears, telling me to install it, but there are no instructions on how to do this.
Can anyone offer a suggestion on how to do this?
Thanks in advance.

Don't install it. Firefox does downloads fine without the need for an external download "manager".
hello ivory123, it isn't a good idea to install something, just because of a popup that tells you so if you're not sure that you want or need this program. this is often a way for adware or malware to spread.
I ran a full scan of my computer with aVast! PROANTIVIRUS, which did not turn up any infected files . . . . although some files, such as bgCheckbox.png and other png files, were protected . . . . and could not be scanned.
Then I did a full scan with Malwarebytes Ant-imalware220.127.116.110, which revealed several inflections or processes called "PUP . . . . " which I was able to select and delete.
The popup window appears in my attachment, the image called Download Manager.
Once again, if anyone could suggest how I could delete the pop-up, if this is possible, I would appreciate it. This pop-up appeared AFTER, as well as before, doing the scans.
you can also go to the windows control panel / programs and see if you find any reference to "Free Download Manager" (or any other or potentially unwanted software like toolbars) that you can remove from there.
You can possibly find this extension in Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions.
Did you recently install the Free Download Manager?
I found Free Download Manager in Tools>Add-ons and deleted it, which Firefox said it did.
I only have Program Updates (see attachment) in my Windows Control Panel -- not Programs.
