The last day and a half, Firefox has crashed 10 times - what gives?!
Actually, it's been 10 times in the last 25 hours - and this is my work computer, I've only even been on it for maybe 8-9 of those hours.
The report ID's from about:crashes are: bp-980d7c22-8816-4e20-8c6a-0d8c32130222Fri-22-Feb-1311:06 AM bp-aa924b23-2c88-4726-9381-3c2582130222Fri-22-Feb-1311:06 AM bp-cf6f9ea8-17cc-49a1-b4c4-077b82130222Fri-22-Feb-1311:04 AM bp-83fd0cee-9350-41e4-a3d4-00a8f2130222Fri-22-Feb-1311:03 AM bp-e54d994f-e5d2-4520-a651-27c402130222Fri-22-Feb-139:40 AM bp-74c0e3bf-7327-47c3-a2a0-5f47a2130221Thu-21-Feb-133:08 PM bp-e84ba533-a028-408f-8ea4-b42e62130221Thu-21-Feb-132:35 PM bp-81b43c81-3d8b-41c1-a1f4-4daf82130221Thu-21-Feb-132:09 PM bp-2fc77e54-3e0d-4100-8223-c9cf42130221Thu-21-Feb-131:21 PM bp-c85904c7-648b-4b8b-822e-2b5e32130221Thu-21-Feb-1310:08 AM
This is absurd. Please tell me what to do.

hello, unfortunately this seems to be a crash that is appearing in firefox 19 on windows 8 with AMD Radeon HD 6XXX/7XXX graphics cards - developers are investigating the causes of it...
the best option probably is to downgrade to the to the former version at the moment until this gets sorted out: Install an older version of Firefox ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/18.0.2/win32/
the auto-update in firefox 18 for the affected systems is now disabled and will be turned back on when a fix is available.

Actually, to be fair, I believe there were more crashes than that - I just didn't bother reporting the first few of them, which means they don't show up in about:crashes.

Another one to add to the list.
- 12 in less than 26 hours:

Three more since my last post here. So that's 15 now in 26 hours exactly.

And another one right after I hit submit!

So that's 18 crashes now, including 8 in a span of 10 minutes!

Just tried it. We'll see how it works. Thanks!
There is a problem on Windows 8 with Firefox 19 and AMD Radeon HD 6XXX/7XXX graphic display cards.
This issue in currently being investigated.
- bug 830531 - [Win8] crash in XPC_WN_Helper_NewResolve mainly with AMD Radeon HD 6290/6310/6320/7290/7310/7340
If you have one of those display cards then best is to stay with or downgrade to Firefox 18.0.2 for now.
Well, it's been almost a week now, and I haven't had this problem since downgrading.
Thanks to both madperson and cor-el for their help!
