The Dell Streak 5 (AT&T) is running Android 2.2 and has a Qualcomm Snapdragon (QSD 8250) which is supposedly Arm7. It is listed on the list of supported devices. However, when I go to the play store, it says that my device isn't compatible with firefox mobile. Anybody know why it would lie to me?

This should be fixed momentarily. The 5" Dell Streak was accidentally blocked, but has now been un-blocked. It might take several minutes for the store to update. Sorry for the trouble!

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this and for trying to use Firefox mobile. I'll find out if this was an oversight or if the supported devices list is incorrect and get back to you.

If you want to try the unstable version in the meantime, you can get it from http://nightly.mozilla.org.

Regards, Michelle

I installed the nightly, and it does work, so it would seem to be just the list is wrong somehow. Let me know if you need any info about my phone.

The Dell streak is a tablet we will support tablets in a upcoming version of Firefox for Android.

The original Dell Streak (of which I am speaking) is a phone, albeit a 5 inch screen phone. I'm not sure what makes it specifically a tablet. If it's not supported, then it shouldn't be in the list of supported devices. But it is in the list, yet the Google Play Store says it is incompatible. Furthermore the underlying requirements of Arm7 & Android 2.2 are met by the Dell Streak, so it seems like an omission somewhere.

Awesome. Interesting note, the Play Store App on the device seems to cache the results for some time, as it still claimed that it was incompatible. However, I was able to visit the app page on my computer browser, and push the install from there, as it was aware of the change. Installed & working fine now. Thanks!
