How do I turn off the secure tab navigation ... I cannot access some menu features in any web page with the mouse ... only by Tab - I want to revert to the way things were before I made that stupid "security" choice... HOW???
Somewhere somehow I remember making the strange choice of preventing others to do something?... navigation? ends up I have to tab my way around the menus - only some parts of any web page are accessible with the mouse - otherwise its TAB TAB TAB my way around - How can I revert back to normal functionality? I do not remember where I found that feature -
Thank you - in the interim I have to use Internet Explorer and I don't like it ! - please give me back my Firefox :)
Thank you
M.

Both the Yahoo! Toolbar extension and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause an issue with a dead spot near the top of the content area, like the upper 2 or 3 inches. Disable or uninstall those add-ons.

See if hitting F7 helps.
My thoughts exactly, Ed. But I hesitated from posting that answer b/c her description was so weird.
Do you remember clicking Yes on this dialog, Merida?
If you did, press the F7 key one time and it should turn off the "Caret browsing".

Thank you for your assistance ... still not solved the problem. Some menu item on a web page - especially to banner items are not accessible with the mouse - only by using the TAB key.... What I remember is something or other about secure browing? or preventing others from using some navigation or menu options on the web sites I may be viewing? ... Still looking forward to a solution. This only appears to be a problem while using Firefox as browser (only since I chose to have this "stupid" functionality) ...

It would also be helpful if you could provide an example link and an example functionality in the page, missing with the mouse.

Ok... solved my problem - saved the bookmarks - uninstalled Firefox. Restarted the computer. Reinstalled Firefox using another browser. Restored the bookmarks using the wonderful help index from Firefox. ... and Voila! I'm back with Firefox - When all else fails, start from scratch again. Thanks for the assistance and notes about add-ons - will be cautious! Cheers!
Thank you for that - will be cautious in the future. Ended up uninstalling and reinstalling - fast and it worked!
