On Windows 7 you can use the Snipping tool to take a screenshot.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Is that the bookmarks menu from the Firefox button or the Bookmarks menu on the Menu bar or is that the bookmarks menu that opens if you click the Bookmarks Menu button on the Bookmarks toolbar or Navigation toolbar or something else?

Can you attach a screenshot?
Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).
It's the top tool bar with File -Edit - etc.
Wikipedia is protesting today so no go there. I don't know how to post a screenshot anyway:-(
I'll try safe mode.
You can add ?banner=none to Wikipedia links to see the article.
Thanks for the info but Wikipedia is out of business today because of the SOPA and PIPA protest.
I'll have to wait until tomorrow.
Did you try the link that I posted above?
Yes and it worked:-)
I just don't know howto save a screen shot to attach.
