When I try to update Firefox, a window appears ans states it is connecting to the update server. But it never accesses the server. What to do?

I am unable to update Firefox on my Macbook Pro. When I click on update now, a window appears with a squiggly blue line, and a message stating that it is connecting to the update server, whatever and wherever that is. But never is the server reached, not is there an update achieved.

I have found that happen occasionally but don't know why.

You can always go to the Firefox site and manually download the latest version for your OS then drag it to Applications Folder.
