Firefox crashes after running for a while, and when I try to close and restart it, it tells me that it is still running and I have to either close the remaining process (which doesn't happen} or restart my computer
The program freezes, but does not recognize that it has crashed, so does not create a report. IE runs OK.

See "Hang at exit":
Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Problem solved. It turned out to be an extension. I'm not sure which one yet, but my guess is Java, because I had installed an update the day the problem showed up. Thanks for the help.
