Instead of :

Could you just provide a little more info?

Are you using Thunderbird or Webmail? Is this only occuring on one email or all emails?

It is only 1 particular type of file I receive. I receive quotations by email for electrical products. After a Firefox update or converting to a newer version the format changed on my desktop for these files.

Instead of being listed 1-10 top to bottom they are 1-10 in a continuous string left to right.

I use Microsoft outlook.

The same email comes to my Android in the correct viewing format.

Sorry I can't provide better information. I'll answer any question the best I can.

I'm not certain that this is a Firefox problem at the moment.

Have you tried checking out this link to check whether this has been caused by Outlook:

I will check it out and post back here.

Thanks

Haven't been able to work on this much.

I received a quote today and opened it in Firefox with the same results. Then opened it in IE and the viewing format was correct.

Does this information help?

Thanks.

Have you checked that all your plugins are up to date?

Did you look at the raw data source of that email?

Is it a text type or an HTML type email?

All the plugins are now up to date. Thank you for that tip. I thought they were on an automatic update.

The attachment is HTML

If the attachment is of type HTML and there is no explicit HTML formatting code then you get the same effect as you get with posting that text on this forum and everything appears on one line. IE or MS Outlook express or other browsers may convert the line break to an HTML <br> tag, but Firefox treats all white space as a space and displays everything on one line. HTML email needs to be correct HTML code and use <BR> or <P> </P> or in this case maybe a numbered list. If you do not (want to) use HTML code then specify the type as a text file.
