The add-on bar keeps reappearing whenever I restart Firefox

more options

Hi,

I'm having trouble with the add-on bar. After using Chrome for so long, having something on the bottom of the screen taking up space is unsettling for me. I always turn off the add-on bar because I put all my add-on icons next to the location bar like in Chrome, but whenever I close and restart Firefox the add-on bar will always reappear. Is there any way I can keep it from reappearing? I'm using Firefox 5. It's a minor annoyance because 2 clicks will get rid of it, but I'd rather not have to do that anyway.

Thanks.

This is normally caused by a problematic extension. For example the McAfee Site Advisor exension is known to make the add-on bar continually re-appear.

You can use the procedure in the following link to identify what add-on is causing your problem - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
