Want to revert to FF3 - FF4 is CRAP - google search does not work - no http://www. in address bar, I have to enter it every time, I used FF since it came out in preference to IE, I dislike this new upgrade. 255 chtrs are not enough to ask any question.
How do I revert to FF3 - FF4 is CRAP - google search does not work - no http://www. in address bar, I have to enter it every time, I used FF since it came out, in preference to IE, I do not like this new upgrade, and going by the dates on some of the postings, these problems have been for a while and yet not addressed.

Please do the following.
Go to Download Firefox v3.6.17 and download it to the desktop.
Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to Mozilla Firefox and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (don't checkmark the box).
Then reboot and delete the folder called Mozilla Firefox at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
Finally run the installation file you downloaded to the desktop earlier.
Your bookmarks, customizations etc., are maintained in a different location and will become available to you again once you complete the installation.
After you complete the installation, go to the Plugins Check page and update those where necessary.
If they don't revert, i'm going to Safari. I had to stop all my other machines I have from updating. It was crap the moment it installed yesterday!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for taking so long to reply to your response - having attempted to do as you suggest, i.e. uninstall FF4 - I could not see where to choose to keep my bookmarks etc. Can you please clarify that part for me. Regards TOMARiDEAS
