Cannot access MSN or Hotmail with Fox 4 and don't understand computer speak!

Since upgrading to Fox 4, Cannot access my hotmail account. When I click on the simple encryption warning after I click on 'hotmail' in my taskbar, page goes blank or previous web page reappears. No MSN page appears either. Seem to be able to access other websites so far. Can access Hotmail and MSN through google or IE. Any help appreciated but not too good technically. Thanks.
