how to delete bookmarks
I've accumulated a lot of bookmarks on my Android phone and would like to delete those I don't need, but can't find a way to do this.

There are two ways to remove a bookmark in Firefox 4 for Android:
- Go to a bookmarked page.
- Scroll to the right of the page to see the navigation toolbar.
- Tap the "star" button on the right-hand toolbar to display the bookmark options.
- Press the "Remove" button.
Or,
- Tap on the titlebar or press your phone's Search button to open the address bar.
- Tap on the "Bookmarks" tab under the address bar.
- Press and hold for 1 second on the bookmark you want to remove, to bring up a menu.
- Press the "Remove" button.
Thanks for that. I now see that I posed the wrong question although your answer will be very helpful later on. The question I should have asked is : How do I remove the results of a Google search for a site. Since I got my phone I have Googled a number of my favorite sites and several that I no longer need, for example the NYT. These results pop up whenever I launch Firefox and the list grows longer, and longer!!
When you open the address bar, Firefox displays a list of your most commonly-visited sites. You can clear this list by opening the Firefox preferences and choosing "Clear private data." Or you can keep using Firefox, and sites that you don't visit often will soon be replaced by ones you do.
Google also displays your previous search queries when you go to www.google.com to search the web. You can clear or edit your search history by logging in to Google and going to: https://www.google.com/dashboard/
Sorry not have said it before, it's a busy life! But thank you very much for your help.
