I need to run a test for an interview but I get a message the browser does not meet the requirements? Please help.

It may be that the test was written for a specific web browser. Does it give you any other information than that?
Hi, It says "it is required that one of the following browsers is used" Microsoft internet explorer version 5.5 or 6 or Netscape navigator version 4.78/4.79/4.8 or 6.2x any ideas please thanks Rob

try using whatever version of IE you have. If that fails, and you can try downloading netscape... I'm not sure I'd particularly recommend it, and I'm not going to say that it will work, because I really don't know. http://browser.netscape.com/releases
The thing is, Netscape was discontinued in March of 2008. The versions of the browsers they are telling you to use there are 10 or more years old. Firefox and Netscape share some history, but it's a bit complicated to explain. To put it in really simple terms, Netscape facilitated the start of the Mozilla Application Suite, part of which eventually evolved into our current firefox.
So, you may need to contact who ever told you to take the test...

There are other things that need your attention:
Your above posted system details show outdated plugin(s) with known security and stability risks that you should update.
- Shockwave Flash 10.0 r12
- Next Generation Java Plug-in 1.6.0_17 for Mozilla browsers
Update the Flash plugin to the latest version.

So I guess they either really need to update their browser detection or the online test was made some nine or ten plus years ago an not updated since.
The browser versions they suggest you need to use have long since been made obsolete.
Try using the Internet Explorer you do have to get it done as it might get past the browser detection, though how well things display depends on how updated and proper the site is.
