FF crashes or 'hangs' / not responding - why?
My FF browser [Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.12) Gecko/20101026 Firefox/3.6.12] keeps on crasing! It seems to take forever to load, and when it does finally come on, I only have a short time b4 it just stops dead or 'hangs'... a white page with a 'not responding' message at the top just sits there. If I have several pages open at the same time, and try to close one of them... they all close... or, if I leave it for a while, it eventually responds... again, only for a short while b4 the same thing happens. I have tried uninstalling it / reinstalling it (using various methods/software - forced removal, registry removal etc.), safe mode (extensions/add-ons disabled), a new profile, umpteen virus scans (virus, trojan, malware etc.), but all to no avail - the problem persists, and it even once began to affect my other browser - IE8 (though that is ok at the moment - for now). Troubleshooting info is shown below, but there are no crash reports shown as submitted as yet because this is yet another clean reinstall... What else can I try... or what am I doing wrong? I'm not a novice but I'm no expert either, so I may be missing something.... please help; I love using FF (so much better than IE8) with it's customisations, security, speed and so on, but I just cant use it at the moment!
