Can I delete my recent insert in browser preferences?
I just entered an incorrect insert into my browser's Preferences. I think it might just have barely been off by a few blank spaces and now I just want to delete it and try again. But there were warnings beforehand when I opened 'Prefs' to be VERY Careful. I just want to DELETE it. OK? Should be no problem, riight? I don't know what I'm doing. I just followed instructions and made a slight mistake and want to undo it.
I've got a macMini SnowLeopard latest.

If you added a new preference when using about:config, to delete it right-click (or control-click) on the preference and choose Reset. When you restart Firefox the preference will be deleted.

Why are you still using Firefox 3.5.2?
You should update to at least the latest 3.5.15 version, if not do the major update to 3.6.12. You are missing many security and stability updates with that older version.
Adding to what TonyE said, if you didn't create a new preference, but rather changed an existing pref, the Reset will reset that pref to the default value after the restart.
Thank you both for your excellent help. TonyE solved the problem. And the=Edmeister's advice is very appreciated also.
