I updated to the latest version of Firefox last night as I needed to do some testing for seesaw and firebug wasn't compatible with the older version I had.

Since then whenever I visit forums there are no new post notifications. Even though there are posts that have been done since my last visit. For example on WoW forums the little dots next to the threads are all blue even though there are new threads or posts which should show red, on a reptile forum the visual representation of a white lizard is not there.

It is not just these two forums it is every forum I go to.

I did try search but with so many results I couldn't find one that matched, I may have missed it in the list and will be the first to admit that I can do that even when something is staring me in the face. As such forgive me if this has been covered.

If you need any further information please ask.

Make sure that you not run Firefox in Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode. In Private Browsing mode some menu items are disabled (grayed) and some features like visited links and others are disabled and not working. You are in Private Browsing mode if you see "Tools > Stop Private Browsing". See Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history and http://kb.mozillazine.org/Issues_related_to_Private_Browsing ..... You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History" To see all History settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history UnCheck: [[ ] "Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session"
