Upgraded to 3.6.4. Facebook crashes the app.
The auto-upgrader ran when I opened Firefox today. Am now at version 3.6.4, Mac. I also upgraded my Adobe Flash player to the latest version after the initial app re-start as was suggested. Facebook now crashes the app every time I go to it. Can't log in, doesn't even load, the app just crashes as soon as I type in the URL and hit return. FYI...

Same problem with random websites (BBC news etc.) - I'm running snow leopard (10.6.4) and also installed the flash update....
This sounds like a problem with Adobe, I assume you're not getting the same problem in Safari?
I had a similar problem after a Flash upgrade. I fixed it by uninstalling Adobe Flash and installing an older version of Flash (version 10,0,45,2)
An archive of old Flash versions can be found here:
Not every Facebook app is crashing, and even the ones that are crashing will run awhile before they do, but none of this happened until the recent update. I reinstalled Adobe & Macromedia per instructions from Mozilla chat, and it fixed it for awhile but now it's crashing again.
I don't want to do what the above solution suggests of going back to an old version of flash due to the warning about security holes. I just think Mozilla needs to look at this issue and send another update right away.
This is similar to the terrible update on a previous version of Firefox that did not play well with Personas, so I'm thinking something in the new update just doesn't play well with Flash. Not to mention that something in the new update caused it to grab an install date of 12-31-1969 instead of 04-22-2010. See attached screenshot.
It's not just the apps for me. I won't even load the base facebook URL w/out crashing... For the Interim I've switched to Chrome...have to say I'm liking it!
Im having the same problem due to the upgrade...all was fine until I let it install....now all my apps on facebook are crashing...i get a grey page with what appears to be a sad lego...lol....and it crashes....this is really getting on my nerves....i sure hope someone at Firefox and or Adobe are working to fix this
Absolutely nothing works at all for me with 3.6.4.
All I get is a stupid message that claims that because I have a proxy server (which I don't), all connections are refused.
What have you done, Firefox?
How do I reverse the automatic upgrade back to 3.6.3, and then I can reume my web access?
Firefox was great until the auto upgrade this morning. Now it crashes on any site that has more than one script running. It's crashed www.latimes.com, www.facebook.com, www.volunteermatch.org and others. I've had to resort to using IE again, which I loathe, but since it's a work computer, I can't install any other browsers.
I'm having major issues in SuperPokePets which is dependent on Adobe Flash Player. I have 3 pets on this game and I play daily :(
I did the auto upgrade today and I keep getting Action Errors from Adobe Flashplayer 10 - something about a stacking issue?. It crashed my entire computer 3 times.
I use Ubuntu as my operating system and Mozilla Firefox (which was just updated to the new buggy version). Is this going to be fixed ASAP I hope? :(
Please make sure your Flash plugin is up to date: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
If you're having issues with 3.6.4 and the Flash plugin, please take a look at Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - Prevent it from happening again and increase the timeout as indicated.
Please help... Anytime I type facebook.com on my URL it crashes my firefox and restarts telling me its sending a crash report.I cant access facebook for some days and counting.. What is going on.I have sent a crash report, uninstalled and installed so called Adobe Flash and it hasn't solved anything.I cant check on my facebook for now.I also have a problem of not being able to type on my address bar as that is what crashes my firefox.i have to use the tool bars to open my other mails but facebook is a big issue since i go there everyday.Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! today please.
I'm having the same problem as Ian McKay. Firefox upgraded and now I cannot do anything with the browser. IE won't work either. I can get my email via Thunderbird but Firefox 3.6.4 upgrade has jinxed my system. IE won't function nor will Chrome. I just activated my update of AVG and it worked as are my other computers' Firefox 3.6.3. HELP The halted computer is my primary.
No fix in sight still i see...WTH this is crazy bull....give us an update that destroys everything! Hellooooo is anyone at adobe and or firefox fixing this mess ?!?!
No Pam, it seems not. All I want is a reversion back to V3.6.3, and then I'm out of here.
Are you reading this Firefox?
Hey guys: I found a copy of 3.6 on my computer...loaded it...everything OK but now I'm on the "bad" 3.6....BUT IT WORKS!!!!
stable as a rock until this auto update now crashing once an hour - snow lepoard, mac
Same here submissive.....had no troubles till they " made it better for us " UGH.....this is nuts....I shut my Firefox down and used my IE....so far so good on my games ....still a pain....I did like FF better but they dont seem to want to help us
im getting the same error on hulu.com on both of my computers, one is windows 7 64 bit and one is windows xp 32 bit. right in the middle of watching hulu videos this error occured and now i can't get it to work for the life of me on firefox. so frustrating . the delayed timer idea doesn't do anything, error still pops up
I had luck using me IE browser as opposed to Firefeox....it just crashes the games I play on facebook ( which is about all I do online anyways ) ...but when playing my games...I cant make more than 2 moves & it crashes...with a word of lie..it crashed 28 times in 10 minutes....this is pathetic & even more pathetic is the fact that we get no response anywhere from adobe or FF.....unless its been posted someplace I missed....its been ignored
I play cafe on facebook and it loads slow since the new update and it crashes with cafe with a message adobe flash has crashed .
