Trying to log into Amazon and Firefox is request a Passkey. I selected to log in with my usually password and the passkey request will not go away...WTF Firefox this is total bs that this type of request is being even suggested when I have a password, pin and phone verification to already login.

Hi Rod, I think Firefox will add a little line about a Passkey for sites that say they support it. I'm not aware of a way to turn that off for people who never use passkeys, but maybe someone else knows of a method.
If you are getting a more dramatic popup, hmm, that would be new. I have not seen that. However, I have Firefox set to not autofill logins, it just shows me choices in a drop-down and I choose the one I want to use. If you want to try that setting:
(1) Open the Settings page, either:
- 3-bar main menu button > Settings
- (menu bar or Alt+T) Tools > Settings
(2) In the tiny search box in the page, slowly type fill to pull up the password section
(3) Un-check (clear) the box for "Fill usernames and passwords automatically"
Now Firefox should allow you to type in the form manually (or select from the drop-down, if relevant).
I found the link "Manage Passkeys in System Settings", after following steps 1 and 2 from jscher2000. I was able to remove Amazon passkey request.
Did not work still comes up with Passkey requirement for a login that I have not passkey...Firefox needs to get their head out of their ass and fix this BS.
Hi
This does not look like an issue with Firefox but a security feature added by the website that you are trying to view.
