Is there a working way to move tabs to bottom currently?

This was working until the latest Firefox update and I do not specifically remember how I had changed it last time but I believe it was via the about:config settings page but I no longer see such an option there. I tried achieving this via 3rd party plugins/extensions for Firefox but not a single one worked for the current version of Firefox. I even tried using the UserChrome.css file, as I found an article about this in the forum but it did not work either.

In the attached screenshot I have shown what I have currently and what I used to have and wish to set again if possible.

OS: Firefox version: 136.0.4 (64-bit)

Hello

I have seen this userChrome.css code on the web. #TabsToolbar{order:2!important;}

If you are referring to any of the suggestion provided in this article -> https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1412961, then no I already tested all of those but nothing happens with any of the solutions suggested there. I'm not sure why nothing happens after adding the code and restarting the browser.

Since the release of https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/69.0/releasenotes Firefox no longer loads userChrome.css or userContent.css by default improving start-up performance. Users who wish to customize Firefox by using these files can set the toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets preference to true to restore this ability.

Have you checked?

Yes, I know and I have left that setting enabled before making any attempts at fixing this issue through this file. Here is a screenshot of it too. I also tested it on another computer and it didn't work there either.

A working environment (user) in a given situation does not correspond to a working environment (other user) in a given situation, so understand, that it is difficult to give an opinion.

If you wish to try/test create a new profile (to see if) about:profiles https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles Your current profile, this is the profile you're currently using; it can't be deleted (1) Create a new profil (2) simply enter the name you want and click Finish to create this new profile, then restart Firefox

(2) this is your new profile and don't remove your profile (1)

To return to your profile (1), Set as default profile, then restart Firefox.

Returning to the default settings is not a solution, as it would cause so many issues and loss in data and settings that I wouldn't even bother trying it on active browser, however, I will test it on one more device, where it is practically an empty profile to proof that the issue is with Firefox itself. I really wish they hadn't removed this as a built-in setting in Firefox.

Don't delete your profile (1) why?

In a second step, if you wish Go to about:profiles Then Your old profile(1), go to Root Directory [Open folder] Explorer will open in the profile folder Your newly created profile(2), go to Root Directory [Open folder] Explorer will open in the profile folder Then shut down Firefox

What information is stored in my profile? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data#w_what-information-is-stored-in-my-profile

Copy the data of your choice from your old profile to your newly created profile.

Start Firefox

Still having the same issue even on a freshly installed Firefox on a new fresh installation of Windows 11. Default profile used. Since there is nothing else installed on the machine I tested it on, the issue is either with Firefox itself or something related to Windows 11.
