Firefox freezes when I click a certain Upload button on a website I've been using for 6 years now
Hello guys,
I started having a weird problem a few months ago. Since I was overwhelmed with work and travels in the past months I just found a quick workaround by using Chrome, but I'm much more used to Firefox than Chrome I'd like to solve this issue once and for all.
So I'm getting 99% of my work on Fiverr. I'm averaging between 20 and 40 orders per month meaning that I need to upload all sorts of files everyday. Whenever I click the 'attach' button, doesn't matter whether in the message section or in the delivery section my entire browser freezes. Even if I waited for some time (I've tried up to 60 minutes), it wouldn't unfreeze. Same in private window, same if I disable all addons. I even refreshed Firefox, but the problem persists.
In Chrome or Edge the problem doesn't exist. Neither does it on my mobile device. Not sure how to troubleshoot that.
Any ideas?
Thank you!

Still looking for a solution. Many thanks!
Yeah, I started noticing the freezing with version 102 in Win, Mac, and Linux. Then after sometime it was mainly windows, but in the past few months it has stopped happening. I would suggest running more than just 1 version of Firefox (Beta, Dev, or Nightly) and also give Waterfox a try. When installing a different version of Firefox, make sure to use a different directory path than your current install. Just name the directory path after the version you're installing. see screenshot linux, but you get the idea You can use sync so that your data (bookmarks, add-ons, and passwords) will be there. Running more than one version is like backing up your data. There could be an update the causes Firefox to go BOOM, but your data will be fine because you have it in different version and on other devices.

Terry, thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, it didn't do the trick for me.
Jon, thank you for your kind reply. Unfortunately, running multiple versions of Firefox wouldn't be a resolution to my problem, but more of a temporary workaround.
Searched out this problem. Still crashing when hitting the upload document/file clipboard button on Inbox.
