Need Help. Firefox would not open, deleted firefox icon, reinstalled firefox. Lost all old data/bookmarks.

Screen 1 message: firefox.exe Entry point not found. Files(x86)Mozilla.firefox\xul.dll. Screen 2 message: couldn't load XPCOM. After repeated tries to get to firefox I deleted the icon and re-installeed a new copy of firefox.

As my computer skills are not great my question is can any of the old data/bookmarks be retrieved? And if so 

how in very simple terms/pictures.

Hi LindaBechter, Did you ever find an "old" Profile or was/is there a folder named "Old Firefox Data" on your desktop?
