Trying to recover session
So i just started having issues where my pc is starting to hot and won't boot up fully. I am working on that but i can hook up the ssd i have in that computer to another work computer that i have but it does not have all of my work stuff since i have been working from home due to covid. Is it possible to load up the session i had on my original ssd that is now currently going to be setup as an external drive for my work computer until i can fix my home pc? I ask because i had alot of tabs open with work related stuff that i had not bookmarked at the time so i really need to restore that session so i can recover that work. Any help would be much appreciated.

As to the 'sick' computer; Place your hand over the vents. Is the fan running properly? Good airflow? Go to an electronics store and buy a can of compressed air. Blow out all the vents. Make sure all the vents are clear of obstructions.
Is this a laptop or stand-up or what? Is the computer in a hot room? Cool it down.
It's also possible that the computer CPU is being overworked. Open the Task Manager. At the top, select Performance. Then select CPU on the left.

I don't know if this will help; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-set-sync-my-computer Sync your bookmarks, history, passwords, add-ons and open tabs with another copy of Firefox. Learn how to set up Sync.

Corrected an error I made about the Task Manager. 'Then select CPU on the left.'

As far as the sick computer goes i cleaned it all out and even reapplied some new thermal paste as it has been a few years. The problem is the computer starts up to hot so when booting i get a message that says CPU temperature error and then i hit F1 to enter my bios where is see that my cpu temp is indeed very hot (high 50's C) and then it will cool down to low 40's high 30's but at that point i have to restart to get out of bios and then its too hot and we are back to bios. I am having a friend of mine look at it on Thursday who is way more tech savvy then i am to see if he can figure out what is going on. Problem is i do not have till thursday to get my work stuff hence why i am getting a 2.5 sata to usb3 cable to use the ssd of the sick computer as an external for another computer that i have as well. My main concern is if i get the sick ssd hooked up would it be possible to either find my last session i was in when my computer was last running or could i navigate to the firefox.exe on that hard drive and launch it from there would my session recover like it normally would when your computer shuts off without you closing firefox and then you open it again.
Is it okay to mix data on the two computers? If so, you could "transplant" your recently active profile folder from your external drive onto the other computer. This old post has the general steps for where to drop the folder and how to get Firefox to use it: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1341308#answer-1422803
I will try whats in that link once i get the cable i need to hook up the old ssd. Thank you for the link.
