Hi, firefox was fine yesterday however now today it stops responding as soon as I open it.

I'm not even able to press restore session or anything, don't have time for it.

Can you try installing the latest version from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ and see if that helps?

Not possible, tried uninstalling and installing first Regular firefox, installation fails and it still stops responding, then tried the Developer Edition and the same thing happens.

That's unusual. Assuming you're trying to install the correct version (64bit or 32bit), can you try disabling your anti-virus and firewall temporarily and see if that helps?

You can check for issues caused by a corrupted or incomplete Visual C++ installation that is missing runtime components (Redistributable Packages) required by Firefox, especially VCRUNTIME140_1.dll.

Install both 32-bit and 64-bit "Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019" downloads, (x86: vc_redist.x86.exe and x64: vc_redist.x64.exe) from https://support.microsoft.com/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that works better in case security software is causing problems.
