Why attachments for gmail goes to the wrong Folder and freezes up?

Windows 10 Desktop Computer Updated, Firefox 92.0

The folder I need yo go to in Documents, it goes to Downloads Instead Automatically!

When I try to get an attachment, for an email I'm sending out, it goes to the wrong folder. It just sits there doing nothing, with the hour glass on. I wait and wait, so I can change the location. Most times it doesn't stop. A very few times, when that stops, I located which folder I need, and it just goes into the hour glass mode again!

If I click on the screen, an error message comes up with something like, program not responding, do you want to close the program? or wait until it stops? With thus, I think it's dealing with the Folder that isn't responding! BUT no, when I click to close the program, LO And Behold, Firefox Closes!

I have a lot of attachments, I need to deal with. It doesn't ask me, which folder I want to get the attachment from?

Any Help Here?
