When I firsr opne Firefox I get a message saying something like "We can't find that page."
When I first open Firefox I usually get a message that we cannot find that page. I have my start page set to Google. Then when I refresh the page it usually opens but sometimes I need to refresh more than once. Then after that I can surf normally. Does anyone know what causes that? Is it an issue with my ISP or my router or something else? I though it might be the New Tab Override extension, but disabling it won't solve the problem. I have a 100 Mbps cable connection. I do not notice the same problem with Chrome.

Does this only happen if you launch Firefox immediately after you boot the computer or also later in the day ?
In case of the former, it is possible that your security software hasn't finished starting and is still disabling access to internet.
Does this only happen with the homepage set to an internet page ?

Thanks for your reply. It usually happens when I start the browser, but lately I have noticed it at other times. But I think I have narrowed it down to a problem with my ISP. I enabled the hot spot of my phone, then logged on to the hot spot with my computer and the problem went away. It only happens when I am connected to my cable ISP. I dread calling their support because they are pretty much clueless. Thanks again.
Maybe try a different DNS service like Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) or Google (8.8.8.8|8.8.4.4).
