Why doesn't Firefox have its own Search Engine?

more options

wow this is sad, Firefoxes Help pages are not any better than Googles. This means that no matter what i type it just gets ignored and a bunch of random junk with nothing whatsoever to do with my question comes up! I didn't leave google so i could still be stuck with their Search Engine, How the heck does that even make sense????????

You have some other choices bundled in, like Bing and DuckDuckGo. See: Change your default search settings in Firefox.

Or you can add the search engine of your choice. Let us know if you need help with that.

Do you mean the question "Why doesn't Firefox have its own search engine?"

I have no idea, but I don't see how Mozilla, the maker of Firefox, would be able to pay for that. Nearly all its revenue now comes from search partnerships with other companies which probably would go down the tubes if Mozilla replaces them.

Of course, if you have ideas, you could share here: https://mozilla.crowdicity.com/
