After Upgrade Chrome.sss missing
Hi,
I am currently running FF 89 (64bit). I noticed just after that update the bookmarks had changed. I have a lot of folders and had a Chrome.sss file to change the empty outline to the more traditional yellow icon. I know there were other things in that sss file that I had added to adjust the basic FF displays. However, I have searched my computer and cannot find the Chrome.sss file.
Is there any way to find this file instead of having to regenerate it and relearn the changes I had made?
Why does FF not leave the Chrome folder and sss file instead of seemingly delete them?
I also do not like the black background and white text that pops up when I right click a bookmark. That combination is very hard on my eyes. Is there an easy way to get black type on a white background or maybe a light grey background?

The icons changed to more of a "wire frame" style so the old custom style rules that color the lines have almost nothing to color in the new design. I posted some revised rules here if you want to take a look:

Regarding the background color of menus, this is determined by the brightness of the text on your tab bar, specifically, your inactive tabs. If that text is a dark color, you get black-on-white, and if it's a brighter color you get white-on-black.
I don't have a universal solution for that, but I did post some code for users of the Firefox Color extension that color matches the menus to their toolbar colors. Would that work with your theme? Here's that thread:

Firefox doesn't delete the chrome folder and userChrome.css and userContent.css stored in this file.
The profile folder is stored in a hidden location, so make to include searching in these locations. You can also look for an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop in case you used the refresh feature in Firefox.
Location used for the main profile that keeps your personal data (Root Directory on about:profiles).
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>

Thanks for getting back to me. I did a search previously for .css files with hidden files shown, however, nothing was found so I made my previous post. I searched again for userChrome.css and userContent.css. Still notning was found.
In previous upgrades the Chrome files were there after the upgrade, but not for this one. I have no idea where they went.
I will search and see if I can find the old article on creating a css file and start again.
Any ideas on how to change the right click pop-up from white text on black to black text on white or grey or blue?

Those two links sure helped me get FF back to what I previously had. You are a real expert with this software.
I love the new tabs with rounded corners. However, I often have a number of tabs open and have some trouble when I am trying to click a certain tab. Is there any trick you have that would place a thin black border around the rounded tab to help separate them?
