icons for ublocker and privacy badger disappeard

icons/ buttons for ublocker and privacy badger disappeared from upper right browser bar. extensions still installed but no access from running browser and no >> so where did they go and how do i restore them. reboot dosn't work, reinstall dosn't work, removed firefox and reinstalled extensions worked only until reboot of firefox. was trying to harden firefox just before the came up missing.

refining my question why does setting history to "never remember" cause extensions ublocker and privacy badger buttons/icons to disappear from browser bar ?
