<p>Most such security cameras used ActiveX controls and only worked properly with MS Internet Explorer or with a NPAPI plugin in Firefox.
The last Firefox version that supported NPAPI plugins was Firefox 52 and I'm not sure if there even existed a plugin for Linux that supported DVR (CCTV).
