I am being prevented from downloading Firefox on my PC
Hi there,
I am having difficulties today. I was downloading a surveying software program and it appears to have made changes to my computer, such that it destroyed my ability to use Firefox. I have uninstalled it and tried installing it several times . . . and I get the same error coming up (see attached screen save).
Can you assist me in being able to install Firefox again.
Thank you.

The dialog in the screenshot says: "The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140_1.dll was not found."
I had that after installing SnapCamera, you know, so I can be a talking potato during zoom meetings. Very important.
I reinstalled the VC runtimes from Microsoft's site (both 32-bit and 64-bit, although I don't know whether I needed the 32-bit). This did require restarting Windows to complete those updates, but got my Firefox working again.
Hope that works for you.
