How do I make firefox focus on the search box on my homepage, not on the address bar.

How do I stop Firefox moving the cursor to the address bar instead of focusing on the search box on my home page. The new "feature" means I have to either erase the address bar or click on the search box before I can start a search. It's not a big thing but it was fine before when I had the option to open the home page with the cursor already on the page.
