Bookmarks Toolbar Shortcut CONTROL + SHIFT + B
When I used CONTROL + SHIFT + B it opens the bookmarks window, when the documentation says it should toggle the visibility of the bookmarks boolbar. I'm on 83.0 64-bit on Win10. I've also got FF Dev Edn (84.0b8 64-bit) and this shortcut works fine. I've tried refreshing Firefox profile/settings from the Help/Troubleshooting menu. Anything else I can try to get this working?

In Firefox 83 the CONTROL + SHIFT + B still opens the Bookmarks Manager (Library). Changing CONTROL + SHIFT + B to toggle the Bookmarks Toolbar has been moved to Firefox 84 slated to be released later this week, so what you noticed is correct.
See comment 62: Reverted for Fx83 RC2. This still remains landed for 84+.
- Bug 1328637 - Personal (bookmarks) toolbar lacks a keyboard shortcut to show/hide the bar (ideally same as Chrome)
The item in the context menu that sets whether to show the Bookmarks Toolbar can be a sub menu in Firefox 84 (browser.toolbars.bookmarks.visibility = newtab|always|never) if the main control pref for new features browser.toolbars.bookmarks.2h2020 is true (default is false).

It has been changed recently in bug 1328637. You need stable 84.0 (will be released the next tuesday).

Just this morning got the 84 update. Now CONTROL + SHIFT + B does not work to open the Bookmarks Library. Now the Bookmarks Toolbar pops up (I don't like this toolbar) with a link to Bookmarks Manager. Please return it to the way it was before.
That is not going to happen. Ctrl+Shift+B now toggles the Bookmarks Toolbar. To open the Library you need Ctrl+Shift+O as you can see if you check the Bookmarks menu via the menu bar or if you navigate the Library button on the Navigation Toolbar: Library -> Bookmarks -> Show All Bookmarks (link at bottom).
Hi Cor-el,
Why mess with something that was working so well?
Of course Ctrl+Shift+O "works" but I still have to click on Bookmarks to open the folder. As it was before, Ctrl+Shift+B would take me directly to my Bookmark Folders.
What a shame.
I'm disabled and don't like to use my mouse. When I try using Ctrl+Shift+O and use Shift+Tab to navigate around the Library, it takes me to the bottom of the folders. Luckily, I can still use Ctrl+Shift+H and Shift+Tab to work my way back to the folders from the top.
I also use Ctrl+Shift+H to get to my history a lot. Please don't hijack that shortcut also!!
The point is that a keyboard shortcut was needed to toggle the Bookmarks Toolbar and a browser like Google Chrome already has this feature and is using "Ctrl+Shift+B" and that shortcut was the first choice, but that required a new shortcut for Firefox on Windows and Mac. Linux already had the "Ctrl+Shift+O" shortcut for the Library and that is now used on all platforms. For the history there is no dedicated toolbar, so there won't be any reason to change the shortcut to access the History Manager.

For me, both the old keyboard shortcut and the new one open the Library window to the "Other Bookmarks" list. What does yours show?
Why do you find it necessary to change what we've had for years in order to copy-cat google?
Ridiculous!
jscher2000, Thanks for your post. CONTROL+SHIFT+B for me now brings up the Bookmarks Toolbar (not the Library) with a link to Bookmarks Manager and then I have to re-enter CONTROL+SHIFT+B to get rid of the Bookmarks Toolbar. Argh.

Agreed!
